I have been to Pista House in Irving for past few years, but it's with lot of disappointment that I write this review. Over the past four years, I have noticed a significant decline in both the quality of food and the level of service provided.
Food Quality (1/5 stars): The once flavorful and authentic dishes that kept me coming back have lost their appeal. The recipes seem to have changed, resulting in a bland and uninspiring dining experience. The biryani, which used to be a highlight, has become a shadow of its former self – lacking in both taste and aroma.
Service (2/5 stars): The service, which used to be attentive and friendly, has deteriorated. Wait times have become increasingly longer, and the staff appears disinterested and overwhelmed. It's disheartening to see a place that used to prioritize customer satisfaction now falling short in this regard.
Ambience (1/5 stars): The decline in ambiance and the restaurant's décor including tables are damaged, poor dining environment.
It’s sad to see the decline in food quality and service.
Overall, Pista House's gradual descent from its once-loved reputation for goto late night restaurant & hangout place is disconcerting. It's my hope that the management takes these concerns seriously and works towards restoring the excellence that initially drew patrons like myself. Until then, I can no longer recommend Pista House with the...
Read moreWorst place in Dallas I ever visited till date. They always miss the items in the order. For the nth time, they did the same thing. I ordered rice along with other items. It wasn’t served. When I asked, they said I didn’t order it. I asked for the bill, they brought the rice saying it is there in the bill. Cheap mentality servers trying to loot ppl for 3-4 dollars. The rice they brought is biryani rice. Initially she said there is no more rice left. Now my suspicion is she served the rice from chicken biryani and I am a vegetarian. It seemed like the rice was packed for one of the staff members for take home.
My friends ordered chicken biryani, it doesn’t have chicken. Only bones were served. Literally bones.
They neither wear gloves while handling foot nor the head covers. Poor hospitality with a very bad attitude from the staff each time we ask for the missing items. Especially the short girl in the counter who tried to say we didn’t order rice. We even had to tell them to clean the table for us. I think cleaning the table when asked was the only prompt service they gave.
This place is a mess and the staff working here are only focused on their hourly pay. They are least bothered about customer satisfaction or the owner’s business.
I personally won’t suggest anybody to visit Pista house, let alone multi-visits. It’s a shame to the Indian...
Read moreI called and placed an order on Friday for a large tray of goat dum biryani for pickup on Sunday. They took my info and contact details and confirmed the order will be ready for pickup on Sun. You'd think they wouldn't have to be reminded to make the order since it was placed only 2 days prior and they had taken all details and confirmed.
We got there Sun evening to pickup the order and they totally forgot to make the order. How do you conveniently forget to make an almost $200 order?!
They gave us 2 options, they could either give us whatever little biryani they had ready or make it fresh in 45 min. We opted to wait since we didn't want to serve our guests stale biryani and it wasn't enough quantity. They made us wait over an hour and then finally gave us our order.
We got home and finally got to try the biryani and it was nowhere close to being called a biryani. It was just colored rice with half cooked pieces of meat. There was no flavor, no masala and even the meat was inedible due to not being completely cooked.
Truly disappointed. Such a bad experience and horrible food and horrible service. They didn't even compensate us for the...
