I spoke to 2 different gentleman this day. Once when i picked up my food and had questions about the website and then later once i really looked at my food. They were both very professional and polite. I saw some have had bad service here but mine was fine. Maybe because I didn't have issues with my order. Pizza was good BUT i still didn't get what I was truly after. This is the 2nd pizza place i've tried where the menu says 'chicken tikka ' pizza. The first place I went to further south in Irving had regular pizza sauce on it and they explained their chicken tikka is just chicken chunks with tikka seasoning so no it's not supposed to have a MASALA spiced sauce on it. This place here- PIZZA TWIST-their menu actually said chicken tikka MASALA- and it says it comes with tikka SAUCE so i was excited to think id be getting a chicken tikka pizza with masala sauce on the crust- NOPE guess again lol. I left the pizza place and didn't realize thats not what it was until i went to go eat the pizza elsewhere. The sauce seemed more like a garlic butter or white sauce kind of thing. So i called them to make sure I was given the correct pizza because the sauce isnt red. He explained what I was given was correct and that they don't put a true masala sauce on it. Basically all of their pizza recipes have to be family friendly or neutrally spiced so to speak. His accent was a bit thick for me to understand but I think his point was actual masala sauce would be too spicy and he mentioned children and older people should be able to enjoy as well. With all that said the pizza WAS Good-dont get me wrong... yum! It just was not what i was expecting once again. Oooh maybe one day I can just make my own version. Go get an order of chicken tikka MASALA or buttered chicken and a pizza crust from the store and hook it up real nice. I just think that would tastes sooo good but so far I cant find a place that sales something like that. I also got their Masala Fries. I won't ever get that again. it's not for me. It's like a garlicky curry and bbq sauce kind of thing. It was ok. I dont know why i wasn't thinking clearly- of course it made the fries sooooooooooo soggy and I dont like soggy fries so that was on me. Now of they sold hot crispy fries and gave a cup of that sauce on the side I would probably like that much better. I recommend you...
Read moreHonestly by all appearance and referral by our friend, we thought this would be a good place it's close but still far 30min. Now picture this: it's 11pm, you just spent 18hrs awake for a competition and this restaurant was open, you walk in and are greeted like you just came from a swamp (stares, no hello, no smiles, and a man sweeping hard enough to lift dust off the floor). You make your order tell them explicitly that you request them to remove all mushrooms as you are deathly allergic but still want a supreme pizza and are so excited bc it smells so wonderful. You wait 35 min for everything to be ready which is fine but that sweeping guy keeps sweeping hard lifting dust, it's freezing so you don't want to leave outside so you stay. You leave and wait to eat until you get home to share with your teammate to find they still put mushrooms on your pizza and now they are closed so you can't complain and have to go to bed for your final day of competition without eating anything of substance.
I am told the food was good, but the customer service, atmosphere and attitudes from employees I really had a problem with. I'm not from here but was very let down that something so important about the order was completely ignored. Idk if my race played a roll in those attitudes or not but I did see some people of same ethnicity picking up their order that the employees actually smiled at. It was also inappropriate to be cleaning when it's something that's affecting customers in the store.
My advice if you go here always check your order and avoid sitting inside if you...
Read moreDisappointed in how this first visit went. Makes me reluctant to return or recommend. When I heard there was finally a Pizza place offering Vegan chkn in Irving we were excited! We ordered the Royal butter and the Bombay Garlic and Hot wings buffalo style. When I asked questions to the young lady Natalie at the register, she didn’t appear to be very knowledgeable about the products sold, vegan wise. Couldn’t tell me the type of cheese used and when I asked about the cKn she told me soy based. I asked what protein was used to make the “hot wings” she told me the same soy base as what’s used for the pizza. Upon arriving home we added our own vegan Ranch to the “wings” found out my Bombay garlic didn’t have the cKn and the “wings” were extremely mushy. I called to make sure everything was correct and Natalie answered the phone. She said I didn’t get cKn Bc I ordered my pizza vegan. Yet the second pizza I ordered did get the vegan cKn. Weird. When I questioned the consistency of the “wings” she couldn’t answer, which thankfully she finally offered to go ask the manager. They are cauliflower based. They were nasty! So mushy no texture what so ever! When I asked in store she told me they were made of the same soy protein as what was on the pizza! Had I of known I would eating and undercooked Hushpuppy I wouldn’t have ordered it! I could have gotten the same cheese and veggie pizza at Pie 5 for 8$! I went for the option to finally have a pizza that was more....
