Embassy Suites Irving Los Colinas I choice this location for a quick overnight night getaway with wife to hangout with friends. The location really wasn’t central to where we were going ( 40 minutes away ) but I knew she would like it because the property looked nice in the pics and it was relatively new. Driving up to the hotel it looks good from exterior and there was a restaurant next door. A negative for me is that most if not all of the parking in front of the hotel is reserved for Diamond members 🤔. Come on…can there really be that many DM’s out there? We had to take our little Gold membership to one of the side parking lots. Once inside the hotel is very attractive and clean. Had a nice looking bar area, clean restrooms and elevators. Checkin was smooth but was never offered an upgrade opportunity. We rushed up to our room and the wife did a quick wipe down of surfaces in the room and we both felt these rooms were the cleanest we had ever encountered. The cleaning staff is doing a great job! Everything about the room is great except these things: -There is not the normal kitchenette. There is a bar sink , counter area , coffee station and mini fridge/freezer ⁃ we didn’t realize that there were 2 thermostats in the suite until I got too hot at 2am and started looking around ( one in main area / other in bedroom) ⁃ We were assigned a room in the central or inside courtyard facing section of this U shaped design. Our window view was mainly of the highway out front. That should have triggered a request to change rooms but we were late meeting our friends. ⁃ Was awakened at 2 am by the room temp. Made the adjustment but started noticing the loud road noise coming through the windows! I couldn’t believe how loud it was 6 floors up and after 2am. Sleep was pretty much over for both of us at that point. Lesson learned. Stay on the outside walls away from high way 114 ⁃ Returned from dinner and was able to get a spot on the side. I probably wouldn’t park on the back side despite it being in a nice area. ⁃ Didn’t have the chance to go to the managers reception. ⁃ The morning breakfast was fine. The one big change I see is that you can no longer build your omelette the way you want. They have a menu posted with about 5 standard omelette choices . Whenever we would ask a question, most of the employees would say no English. However the manager of the breakfast area was constantly going around and keeping things clean and tidy. Would we stay again? Definitely, and would hope to have more time to enjoy the property.

From the moment we checked in, my husband and I felt welcomed. The front desk staff was incredibly kind and helpful. They explained all the amenities, gave us our complimentary drink vouchers, pointed out breakfast times and locations, and even shared information about things happening in Dallas. That extra touch made my trip (which was both for business and leisure) even more enjoyable. The room itself was very comfortable and clean. A couple of small fixtures at the top seemed a bit loose, which I mentioned to housekeeping. And the shower head was not the greatest, but otherwise everything was in great condition. The only concern I had was with the elevators. One of them made a very loud, unusual noise, and I noticed there wasn’t a posted elevator inspection certificate. In Texas, the certificate of compliance is required to be posted in a visible area for building users, so this caught my attention. With my busy schedule I didn’t have a chance to bring it up to the front desk, but it’s something that may need to be addressed. On the positive side, breakfast was absolutely fantastic. The staff preparing and serving were so kind, and everything was fresh, delicious, and quickly made. It really set the tone for the day. Overall, this hotel was a wonderful experience, and I would absolutely return. Whether for business or leisure. My husband and I both agreed this will be our go-to place whenever we’re in the area.

Some info is not on the hotel website.||IN-ROOM BOTTLED WATER OFFERING:|$5 for an average 24 pk bottle of water...?||DIAMOND MEMBER FOOD & DRINK CREDIT:|This place DOES NOT offer the food & beverage for the Diamond Elite status. |The hotel explanation, "We offer complimentary 2 drinks and appetizers to EVERYONE at 5 PM to 6:30 PM in the restaurant and bar area." Beats the purpose of being brand loyal and moving up to the highest status to share perks with non-brand loyal guests. |I am not upset about EVERYONE getting free drinks, but to be brand loyal and NOT be allowed to get the perks YOU EARNED FOR BEING BRAND LOYAL is disheartening. I could go to a brand-competitive hotel in the area and get ALL my loyalty perks. |Offer perks to ALL guests. But to cheat Hilton Reward loyalists will make me choose differently when in town next time, to be honest.||EARLY CHECK-IN FEE: |If you have a flight into DFW and arrive at the hotel BEFORE 11 AM, there is a $75 early check-in fee.||INCIDENTALS ARE CHARGED PER NIGHT, NOT PER STAY: |It is $50 PER NIGHT, no matter the length of stay. |Business travelers may not need to be concerned about this unless they have to provide for the incidentals and later be reimbursed by their company, so plan for the incidental charge. Unless your company worked something out with the Director of Sales regarding incidentals.||ROOM SERVICE:|The restaurant/bar offers room service, but for 20% added gratuity (forced tip)....why? It isn't like hotel staff need to go far to ensure guest accommodations when providing food service.||What most bothered me is the INSIDE AIR HEATING AND COOLING system....it circulates the air INSIDE the hotel, not a window unit, which helps to demonstrate the air comes from outside and NOT recycled air, which can have bacteria and mold in the ducts. I have bad sinus issues, so I get affected easily when traveling, and the hotels don't have fresh air able to circulate throughout the hotel/rooms.||The free buffet breakfast with omelet bar was great!||Happy hour is from 5 PM to 6:30 PM, where you are allowed 2 complimentary drinks and appetizers, which generally are chips and salsa and a cracker trail mix.||The restaurant/bar food menu was OK, though for the price and what you get was unproportionate. The fries offered are shoestring fries. Not the average fries. ||Uploaded food photos along with photos of the menu for pricing.||Overall, not a bad stay. Not sure if the hotel not offering enough Hilton Rewards perks and/or the overpriced goods, which will influence my picking of this hotel as my destination for...
