This review is pertaining to Labor and delivery.
A few of the nurses were not welcoming.Majority seemed as if they were training or new to the hospital.I even had one tell me that she is a travel nurse that she didnât know the answer to my question. One got very important information mixed up about diagnosis. They were not very attentive. When you go to labor and delivery you expect to be treated with a high quality of care.
Three different nurses stuck me 6 times and blew every vein.I was more than understanding but ouch!
If it wasnât for my doctor I would have never delivered here.Dr. Garcia was great as usual.
The quality of service was poor. When I checked in I requested his pediatrician.I was told that she would be the one to do his circumcision and he would get it done the day we weâre discharged. The day I was discharged he never got it done and I was told he had to have it done in outpatient for no apparent reason. One week later I received a call from the pediatrician that she was never notified by hospital and she had been looking out for him.
Also, I was discharged without the nurse having me sign my discharge papers and didnât receive my paper prescription, so after making it home I had to drive back to sign papers and get prescription paper.I didnât receive my tDap which they had written on the board that I wanted, but at that point I just didnât have energy to remind the nurse so I let it go.
I work for a medical facility and we pride ourselves on GREAT customer service all across the board from the time you enter til the time you leave...I canât say I experienced that at Medical City Las Colinas at all.The best thing was my baby was born safe and healthy.I wish I remembered the names of the couple good nurses I encountered ,I believe one name was Clye (she was the charge nurse).
The best thing they had...
Read moreI came here mid December 2020 close to midnight because I couldn't breath correctly. Something was REALLY wrong that day, I mean I could NOT breath correctly at all.
The blond nurse by the entrance was very friendly and triaged appropriately. I was seen within minutes by other staff. It was not crowded at all, there was one other family there that's it (again it was almost midnight on a Friday I think)
Other health techs put the stuff to check my vitals on me, and they did a x-ray with a fancy mobile machine. They were quick and efficient with this, the techs here are ok.
After checking my vitals and confirming with me what problems I was having, nothing was done. Nothing. No medicine to help me breath, no explanation, nothing, absolutely nothing. And to top it off the main nurse that worked on me had such a nasty attitude. Dear god lady, I didn't want to be here either. The doctor was nice, but she didn't do a good job of diagnosing me. I told her and the other people I was having a very hard time breathing right, they simply looked at my vitals and sent me home. That nurse working on me told me to simply take an Ibuprofen, what kind of patient care is this?
I had to research on my own that my diaphragm muscles were spasming/ partly paralyzed, and my body did not like that feeling (I thought it was a heart attack, it was a very scary feeling). It's a terrifying feeling when you try to breath and your diaphragm muscles aren't responding.
I want to recommend this place, I do, but, for life threating injuries I HIGHLY encourage you to seek another practice if you...
Read moreMadison in triage is extra rude. I came in with my stepdad who was having massive chest pains and who has had a heart attack in the past year. We where pretty worried. There where three people talking to a woman in the ER when we came in and werenât sure if we should just sit there or let them know what was going on. I told who I believe was a nurse about my step dad and she gave me paperwork - for chest pain itâs typically treated with much more urgency but we sat down and I asked if they had a mask for my stepdad (mind you I have no idea the conversation going on in the waiting room). The nurse with an attitude positioned her hand to shoo me away and then tells another nurse in triage about me and they started to treat us with intense attitude. I said âIm not sure why you guys are irritated but my stepdad has had a heart attack recentlyâ Madison said âright but ya know people where actually trying to save a lifeâ... (I had no idea what was going on - itâs the ER so I assume everyone is there for serious issues...) as if someone elseâs life meant nothing and I was very confused. I wasnât screaming, I had no attitude I only asked for a mask for my stepdad and Madison treated us like we where a nuisance. When you are working with peopleâs health you should know how to deal with people. Individuals going into the ER are not doctors (we trust you all with our lives) so to be treated like we were so unbelievably hard to deal with after going in for a possible heart attack was...
