Title: Extremely Disappointing Experience

I recently dined at Bombay Chowpatty and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. From the moment I entered the establishment, it was evident that there were significant issues with customer service, wait times, food quality, and hygiene practices.

The customer service was appalling. The staff seemed disinterested and unresponsive, failing to address our concerns or provide any assistance. Their lack of professionalism was disheartening and reflected poorly on the restaurant as a whole. The lady was wearing glasses and open pony tail.

Moreover, the wait times were excessively long. Despite having made a reservation, we were made to wait for an unreasonable amount of time. This prolonged waiting period greatly diminished the enjoyment of our dining experience and left us feeling frustrated and neglected.

The quality of the food was beyond disappointing. The dishes we ordered were tasteless, poorly presented, and far from the advertised standards. It was evident that little care was taken in the preparation and execution of the meals. The overall lack of flavor and poor cooking techniques were truly disheartening.

To make matters worse, it was shocking to observe that the staff members were not wearing gloves while handling food. This blatant disregard for basic hygiene practices is simply unacceptable. Maintaining a clean and hygienic environment should be a top priority for any restaurant, and their negligence in this aspect was both concerning and unprofessional. The same girl started making my order when i asked about wait time.

In light of my experience, I would like to offer some suggestions for improvement. Bombay chowpatty should invest in thorough staff training programs to ensure that their employees are equipped with the necessary customer service skills. Additionally, they should address the long wait times by implementing better reservation management systems or hiring more staff during peak hours. The kitchen should also focus on improving the quality of their ingredients, cooking techniques, and presentation. Most importantly, they must prioritize hygiene by enforcing strict protocols, including the use of gloves and maintaining cleanliness in food preparation areas.

Overall, my experience at Bombay chowpatty was extremely disappointing. I hope that this review serves as constructive feedback, encouraging the restaurant to make the necessary changes to provide a better dining experience for...

This name is Such a shame to one of the greatest cities in India and its amazing rich food culture.

Had one of the worst experience ever in an Indian restaurant First of all, food is below average. I ordered chilli noodles which was beyond horrible and just tasted chilli flakes and then the artificially colored red noodles to go with it.

BUT HERE IS THE WORST PART They had a server who does not understand basic English. We ordered chilli noodles and she came with some tacos. When I said that I did not order it, she said its ours. This was my first time there so I thought its complimentary and gladly accepted it. The other guy who is probably the restaurant manager came asking why did I accept it when the order was not mine. Not only he had a very bad attitude, he charged me for the whole order they wrongly served. I went to the counter and explained that I repeatedly told her the order was not mine and the server kept saying it was mine so I thought its complimentary. He rudely explained that he is doing me a favor by not charging whole 15$( he charged me $9 extra for it) for it because its "special tacos".Two things I wanted to say (but I was too nice to say it) If you call that a special taco, Then I am gordon ramsay and you come to my home kitchen tomorrow and pay me $100 for the taco I make everyday for breakfast. And funniest part, I dont even know how to make proper tacos. I have never seen a restaurant manager charging their customers for an order they wrongly served.

Regardless of my polite explanation, he went on and said I was lucky to have paid only $9 and not 15 for the tacos.

I will leave it to you guys to decide if you would like to be a part of such a terrible restaurant and group of people.

And here is another quick note: I have been in five different states in US and eaten at 100 different Indian restaurants. But never in my life I have had such a bad biriyani anywhere. Yes the other thing I ordered along with noodles is biriyani to...

In 2016, Dallas was introduced to a new type of food that wasn't available before. Everything was always perfect and I never had a problem with anything. The food was hot, fresh, and truly mouth watering, but since then the quality of this establishment has been continuously diminishing every time I visit. The employees are trying their best to fulfill the orders as customers continue to rile in,but it just isn’t working.there isn't enough employees to handle the amount of customers and their orders(I really think all the problems root from the lack of employees and some from upper management.) Once again I emphasize that it isn’t the employees fault and they are trying their best, but the lack of employees. Now onto the food problems.”Enjoy the little things for one day you’ll look back and realize they were big things."Basically there were so many things that have happened that truly piss me off.For example nowadays they keep the temperature of the grill too high so when they put in the top of the bread is nice and crisp but the stuffing for the sandwich is lukewarm. Another thing is they don’t even have ketchup anymore. A lot of indians literally put ketchup on eveything so it is pretty much a necessity in this type of food. But I just don’t like the taste of chutney with my paneer frankie(it is served with it) so I eat with ketchup and it taste amazing, but today when I went to the restaurant and my frankie was served I asked for ketchup one of the employees said”No Ketchup.” What kind of bs is that, unbelievable. When they first opened they had big red ketchup bottle, then they went to tiny little ketchup, and finally no ketchup. How hard is it to have ketchup? Also please increase the size of the water cups. Pretty much what I am saying is that you guys used to be by far the best restaurant in DFW, but as more and more time passes the quality of the restaurant is quickly...

If you are ever craving Indian street food THIS IS THE PLACE. We wanted to eat pizza, and I was hesitant to come here. I tried the Pav Bhaji a few months before but nothing like desi pizza. I was a little hesitant, but the prize dragged me in. We ordered take out, a little disappointing that there were no paper towels or napkins. We ordered paneer tikka pizza, cheese pizza, and a Bombay Frankie. The Frankie was a disappointment. It was like the Dabeli Bhaji in a roti, I don’t think I’ll order that again. It was delicious, but just not the Frankie I am used to in India. Coming to the pizzas - the cheese was coming off the cheese pizza and not at at all sticking to the base, it was hard to break it apart as they hadn’t cut it properly, and most of the cheese ended on one pizza, but I was able to salvage it. We ordered the panned tikka pizza spicy and they delivered. The dip that went with it was tangy and scrumptious! The pizza was extremely good. It reminded me of those galli bakeries in Hyderabad that sell THESE EXACT pizzas! The base, the sauce and the taste was so similar I was transported back to the noise within moments. The masala soda was good as well, though it is a little sweet, it is still VERY delicious and was gone in moments. If you are planning to have take out, sit in the car and eat it as it’s delicious when it’s hot. The pizza might also get soggy by the time you get home, so eat in the car. Would come back here often. Update: returned after a year and taste is still amazing! Even with the rush hour the team is amazing at handling the orders and getting food on the table.

(Reviewed in November 2016, NOT SURE IF IT IS THE SAME ANY MORE) Easily The best Bombay-Indian Fast Food Joint in Dallas So far, and yes it is Tres Mumbai preparation (unusually the fastfood here is not junkfood at all as opposed to expectations) Its a very decent spot honestly. CHECK OUT THE UPLOADED PICS. PLACE : Definitely found this to be MMMUUUCCCHH better than India chat house in plano.....Even for Non Indians. VEERRRYYY BUSY always. CUISINE : Indian Fast Food and Snacks, Supper, Brunch. FOOD : Very tastefull, minted, delicious, Not too spicy at all, just the right way of flavours, lllooottss of variety must try - SAMOSA CHAAT, BOMBAY SPECIAL PAV BHAJI, PANEER FRANKIE. We ordered samosa chaat, bhel, paapdi chaat, sev puri, BombayChowpaty Dosa (basically pav bhaji flavoured dosa that we get in actual bombay in India and its a decent hit) veg puffs, Paneer frankie, chaas and sweet lassi All of our food was great and was NOT over-powering at all, we felt like ordering still-more but well we had reached too late and it was closing time. If you see pics u would realize that even closing time is much more busy. AMBIENCE and STAFF : Contemporary, subtle, more like an actual chowpaty cooking bench module installed in an indoor restaurant and is slightly themed for so. its a cozy area. staff is frndly, some of them are very sweet, the owner is frndly and is actually from bombay so is very competent with his work.

I had ordered Parathas for Dine-In and Dabeli for take-home. 1. Aloo Paratha - the aloo Masala inside the paratha was stuffed quite well. The Masala inside the paratha was tasty. The portion size was quite well considering the cost. The yogurt seemed fresh & the pickle was tangy! The paratha was served in styrofoam plates which is a bummer. Styrofoam is unhealthy & not sure if it is legal. 9/10 2. Paneer Paratha - the paneer was minced finely and the Masala used for stuffing was little thin compared to aloo paratha. It would have been worthwhile to have panner to be grated little coarse to get the texture while chewing the paratha. The Masala used can be little more flavorful. 8/10 3. Dabeli - I had ordered it for to-go(TakeOut). I felt the Pav wasn’t toasted well. The Masala inside the Dabeli lacked any kind of distinct taste. The Masala was coarse which potato chunks visible. Generally, Dabeli has pomegranate seeds in it. I didn’t find any flavor of it. The potato paste used inside Dabeli was simply bland and flavorful. It didn’t had any kind of visual appeal. It would help to make a more pasty, flavorful and distinct Masala for the Dabeli. The Pav (bread) can be toasted more. The name “dabeli” means pressed. The Pav was like wada-pav pav. Unfortunately, the dabeli felt underwhelming. The dabeli was miles far from what we find in Mumbai or Gujrat. Dabeli - 4/10
