Food: 3/10 Wait time: 20 minutes (3/10) Service: 2/10 Ambience: 8/10 Price point: 4/10 Would return: No I was happy to find a Haitian restaurant with good reviews. However, my experience was not good at all. I ordered chicken with sauce and rice/beans and soup (which was pumpkin/soup joumou). Waited 20 minutes after ordering. When I got to my location with my food which was less than 10minutes away, I found the soup completely cold. Not warm, cold. How? I don’t know. Can only assume they did not reheat the soup or was already prepared in the container before time. The chicken and rice were taken from the warming containers in front, so I couldn’t understand why the order took 20 minutes when the soup was cold and the chicken/rice/beans was already prepared. The chicken was ok, the rice/beans was good, and it came with a small spoonful of Mac/cheese, which was also good. The soup was mostly pumpkin broth, with some cabbage, a few carrots, a piece of tough grizzle, a couple of noodles, no meat. Very disappointing. The food definitely was not worth the $27 price point, for its quality.

I just arrived from driving 6 hours from a 4 day trip to Niagara Falls.. No Haitian Restaurant In sight. My first stop was to Epis Grill. I read some reviews and needed to try them. This is my first time here and I ordered a large Lalo(mixed greens) with beef and crab, white rice and sauspwa(black bean soup) don't judge my creole it's touched lol. Each item is packaged separately so you can enjoy each individual item. I DEVOURED the meal. Cudos to the Chef of Epis Grill and the guy with with the nice smile packaging my meal I will be back with my momma.. great meal and very happy with the price.. Btw parking isn't great but get over it.. find one and walk over for some authentic Haitian dishes...

I am very disappointed in this restaurant, as I’ve ordered here before, and left a good review, but since then, had to delete it. Today, I went for lunch, I ordered a small lalo and white rice anticipating and expecting good food to which I didn’t get. When I open this food to my demise and disgust here and behold the watery gravy, the watery spinach , and the only thing good was the rice. When I called the manager to reconcile, he stated that people ordered the food and have not been complaining as if I’m other people. Very disappointing how the food was made and how the business was handled. Will never go here again . Nan get mama.

I ordered food from this place on doordash two days ago. First the food that I ordered (Haitian spaghetti and fried Turkey) isn’t what I received. I received white rice, sos pwa, and sauce as well as one platter of fritay. Even though I didn’t get what I ordered (the bag said my name on it but the food was incorrect so it wasn’t the dashers fault but I got my money back anyways) I was hungry and had waited awhile for the food and it was the only thing I had to eat that day and so I ate it. Everything was good except for the griot (it was just inedible). However immediately after eating the food I was nauseous but I brushed it off and went to nap. The rest of my day seemed okay until 5am the next day(mind you I hadn’t had anything before or after this food to eat besides Oreos which I’ve been eating with no issues for a few days now) where I started having terrible pains in my stomach. At first I thought it was gas pains but I would soon discover as I ran to the toilet that it was not. I definitely had food poisoning (goose bumps, bubble guts, abdominal pains, and diarrhea). It was the worse food poisoning I’ve ever had and I was still running to the toilet hours later. I called out of work and slept the whole day yesterday with the worse stomach pains.

I contemplated writing this review and even checked reviews yesterday to see if anyone else has experienced this. But many people are shy to post about their bathroom adventures after eating from restaurants. I’m posting it because I thought people would want to know what they might be getting into with this restaurant.

I was really hopeful for this restaurant, but I think y’all need to figure out some kind of cross contamination in precautions. Idk if your workers aren’t washing their hands or using the see utensils with clean and contaminated meats, or y’all have a rodent issue (which lets be real every restaurant in America especially in our urban streets do). But y’all gotta figure it out! Whether that means enforcing hand washing more often (with soap and water), hiring people to wash surfaces and utensils in between uses, or locking up food so that critters can’t enter them. Somethings going wrong. I still have minor cramps now. It’s crazy....

DON'T EAT HERE!!!!!! ZERO STARS!!! I ordered fried turkey with rice and beans. The presentation alone was not well thought out. The meat had a couple of griot pieces in it with no taste. The sauce was filled with so much oil. The pikliz was trash! It tasted like coleslaw with absolutely no flavor. Whoever cooked this food this morning should have called out because you can feel the energy in the food. I wasted $20 in a time where the economy is not good but you want to support one of your own. Please don't respond back to this because I just got off the phone with someone claiming to be the owner that told me that everything I was complaining about was not valid and that I am lying and I just don't know the difference between griot and turkey. This man took no accountability and did not allow me to speak when I was trying to get my point across to the point I ended up hanging up the phone. He stated that Haitians are always trying to sabotage other Haitian business when in fact before leaving this review, I said let me call first so I don't mess with their rating and also if we are sabotaging, why are we ordering here in the 1st place? Since I could not get a word in, here I am writing this review. The person who answered the phone needs to take a business 101 class on...

My office ordered food from this place. First off, the Legume was served in a small plastic container rather than the aluminum plater like the rice. Second, the food is filled with oil. My legume (beef) had a chicken bone and beef bone. The griot was bland like a white lady made it. Like really! This is so disappointing and disrespectful. The guy who picked it up the phone would not take accountability. His response was that " Haitian are always breaking Haitian businesses"! I called because the response to all the reviews have been "to call the restaurant before writing a review". His complaint was that "I was saying something that did not make sense" If this guy is the owner, son, husband or boyfriend, he will be the demise of this restaurant. Our office always has representatives to buy us lunch. Well, we know now to take our business elsewhere. Please revamp your menu and presentation or close your establishment. Since you could not respond properly on the phone, don't do it now on this review! Thank you for allowing me to waste my hard-earned money on this tasteless, mix up of meat, garbage you call food!...
