Read moreHorrible customer service and staff that does not like colored people and only pay attention to White customers. Worst service I have ever experienced and I would give zero stars if I could. From the moment we entered the sand bar area, we were totally ignored. I was with my parents, sister and little niece. I had to walk up to a waitress and wait for her to even acknowledge me and then I asked if we needed to seat ouselves and she said yes. We sat down and another waitress came over and rudely asked what we wanted to drink before we had even looked at the menu. She then walked away and came back again with water. She never greeted us or smiled and each time we said thank you to her, she completely ignored us. We were hesistant to order food because of her rudeness so we just ordered a few drinks to start. Again, she rudely took the order, returned with the drinks and then never came back to ask if we wanted to order food. After about 15 minutes of being ignored, I went to another employee and asked for the check. She asked if everything was okay and I told her our waitress has been extremely rude and explained that we just wanted to pay and leave. She then told the manager who then came over and apologized but then sent the same rude waitress to give us the bill. The drinks were terrible and watered down and the menu is very limited. We observed that they treated White customers with a smile that we never got. I will never go back and would never recommend them to anyone. Instead go to Hog Heaven down the street where you always get excellent food along with great customer service!...
Read moreMy wife and I stopped here for a late afternoon drink just to check it out in mid-July 2025. It's somewhat new (less than 18 months since our last visit to Islamorda), and it's not very well advertised on road signage. It also sits right above a "Buffet" restaurant, and I think that tends to deter a lot of people who avoid people who frequent buffet restaurants. You have to hike up about 30 stairs to get up to the bar, but once there, it has a spectacular view of the adjacent Whale Harbor, the famous Islamorada (Holiday Isle) Sand Bar, and the Atlantic Ocean. On the afternoon of our visit, it was somewhat rainy and overcast, and we had already had a filling late lunch so we didn't order any food. We just ordered a drink and sat at the bar, and we were the only ones in the whole place except for a family sitting at one of the tables along the patio railing. The bar tender was a Cuban immigrant and very polite, friendly and professional. We go to Islamorada on vacation every year, so next year, we will probably go here for a lunch or casual dinner if the weather is nice and sunny. Until then, I can only rate it with 4 stars for its wonderful view and good bar service. It's actually got a better view than the Whale Harbor "Wahoo's"...
