While the shop was very beautiful and filled with more than enough crystals for the choosing, the customer service lacked the beauty that the shop has obtained. A friend and I, as a recommendation from a friend, walked in looking to buy crystals and crystal pendants, and was greeted rather slovenly by who seems to the manager or the owner of that store. I didn’t think anything of it so we just started walking around the store. The crystals that were displayed were so beautiful and authentic that I knew I was going to purchase something that day. As my friend and I are walking around, we notice how uninterested he was to help us when we asked questions about stones and pricing.
He seemed very irritated with the very few questions being asked including a question I had about my boyfriend, who currently resides in Wisconsin, calling to order an aquamarine ring I saw from the store. A simple answer of yes and no would have been nice but instead the answer to the question didn’t contain any necessary information,” I don’t know, he can buy it in the store.” I didn’t say anything further as he was already irritated by my original question and I shortened my trip by grabbing the things that I already had behind the counter then leaving the store.
As I’ve previously stated, the store is very beautiful and has an excellent selection of stones but the customer service and overall treatment of my friend and I in the duration of our time there was not acceptable. I love the healing and energy work realm and I especially love to support businesses that aid healing, but sadly, I will not be returning to Agate Designs. I will be on a fierce hunt to finding Black/POC owned crystal shops in and around Seattle as I think my money and time should be going to support...

Mark and his nephew are both wonderful to work with. I’ve come back multiple times, and brought with me a new client every visit. Each piece has such detail and quality, that I buy a new item every time to add to my growing collection. Everyone here, including Carl, does wonderful work. Give...
Read moreThis place has been a Seattle staple for many years, the guy who owns the place has been doing what he does for a really long time and I really respect his business. I've been coming here for years to get pieces to add to my collection and to buy gifts for people, every time I come here it's a...
