We have been here a total of 3 times. The other 2 times food was good service was ok but overall decent. Tonight that was not the case. Not only was our server Sekson not attentive, or polite but short! I had to speak loudly several times to get someone's attention to ask for condiments. To top it off, once our food arrived I asked to add a side order of shrimp. When I received my plate of somtum mind you I asked to add shrimp it only had 3 SHRIMP! I have never received 3 shrimp. I asked if that was correct he said yes, and if I wanted more obviously I would have to add another order of 3!! I said it was ok and carried on. After I finally started to eat, which I was looking forward to my dinner very much so I found a hair!! What's more upsetting is his reaction or lack of. He asked if I wanted my.plate to be taken away which obviously I replied yes, he then proceeded to take it with not one word!! Not ONE!! I was expecting an I do apologize, I'm sorry something, NOTHING NOTHING AT ALL. Seriously upset and just.plain disgusted. To top it off I asked to speak to the manager, he couldn't even look me straight in the eye kept them looking everywhere else and the only thing he said was where were you sitting and I'm sorry about that. Apparently this place is a custom to having customers complain not only about bad service but hair or other stuff...

I have eaten here since 2017 and it was one of my favorite Thai places. I’m not sure if new ownership took over, but it seems like things have gone downhill the last 1.5 years. The food is hit and miss, and although prices have understandably gone up, they cut other things that now are not part of the dish.

Curry is an entree, duck is an entree, yet they come with nothing on the side, not even rice.

I never had this problem years ago, and I don’t have this issue with the lunch combinations. Lunch combos are decent (as long as the cook is good that day).

I’d just say please include a side with your entrees or try to ask people who call in who would expect the entree comes with rice as other Thai places include this. So now I have a container full of curry with nothing else & my husband is eating $20+ duck with nothing. Really frustrating. I mentioned curry isn’t a soup meant to be eaten alone. The man on the phone said people make rice at home. I don’t expect to get takeout and have to finish making my meal at home.

I never leave google reviews, but after about 5 instances in the last 6 months of things being wrong on orders, I’m now frustrated.

Please go back to how...

The food was very good. Nice flavours, quality and presentation. They lose points for service. They pretty much asked if we were ready to order the moment we sat down. We said no. Then maybe one minute later was asked again. Then maybe a minute later, asked again. As we hadn’t been before and was there to catch up with friends we weren’t really in a rush. They didn’t offer to take a drinks order yet either. Took order, everything ok. Appetisers came, nice....then two minutes later the entrees came. So the entrees were getting cold on this cramped table after barely starting. Blah blah blah....now we didn’t know they closed at 9. Our fault for next checking....but we got asked to pay whilst still eating, pretty much harassed to finish and the waiter quite rudely came up and told us they were closed now. Waitress came up in her raincoat and cleared the table halfway while we were trying to fill our ‘to go’ boxes. We laughed it off but it wasn’t the politest or most professional way to speak...

Really great spot. I loved the interior with a intimate layout and nice private back room. The food was great. I had panang crispy duck and spicy scallops. Both were great. They also offer some drinks and special feature appetizers that change off the menu. The staff was very friendly and quick, visiting the table many times. I really felt well taken care of. They even brought out clean plates after finishing the salad so the sauces didn't mingle. The restaurant is a little bit off the main road so be sure to seek it out! Don't forget the desserts!

While in Issaquah for new hire training, I looked over the reviews of several Thai & Indian restaurants in the area. Landed at Similan. Ordered the Shrimp Fresh Rolls appetizer & Seafood Rad Na w/a side of Jasmine Rice as my entree. It was OUTSTANDING! So full when I left...with a "to go" box in tow. The flavors were rich enough without overwhelming the main ingredients. Service was quick & friendly. The prices were very reasonable for the amount (and quality) of their dishes. I'll be going back again next week before I travel back home!

The fried and fresh spring rolls were good. Fried were better than fresh. The pad thai was shockingly bad. I'm not sure if this was an off day for the cooks, or this is the regional style, but it bordered on inedible. The noodles were incredibly mushy and the sauce was closer to tomato sauce than tamarind sauce. It was like eating squishy spaghetti. I have pad thai at least twice per month from different places and this was hands down the worst I've ever had. 2 stars for the decent appetizers and quick service.
