Really great spot. Probably the best restaurant in the area.
Pros Great food, fresh ingredients, and good variety Good cocktails and wine. I was impressed by the cocktail list, things you don’t normally see in the area like a boulevardier Nice atmosphere. Love the lounge area and the dining area is well appointed Nice lighting, cozy atmosphere Can tell the owners care and want to make it work
Cons This would be a five star review if not for the service. To put it simply, the waiters need training and the kitchen, I can only assume, is overwhelmed. It took the mains over an hour to arrive and when they come they missed one person and their food took another 15mins. That’s unacceptable. With training the wait staff could get there but they need someone experienced to lead them. This seems to be consistent criticism in other reviews so fingers crossed they address. Only food issue was overcook potatoes that must have been sitting under heat for a long while The screens with fireplaces add to the coziness but I thought it was a little tacky and unnecessary
Will definitely go back and give it another chance. Would love to update...
Read moreI wanted to like this place more but it just didn’t do it for us. Service staff was nice but not very attentive , never was asked for a refill nor a second drink. I wanted bourbon or scotch and they did not have a list so you had to go to the bar to go look and then roll the dice if this was a place where they have insane drink prices or in line ones. I was not looking for a deal but I wanted to know what I was getting into , definitely not going to ask the price I’ll just pass. Also after dinner no dessert menu so we had to ask what was for dessert. We asked for two espressos and they did not have it , therefore we didn’t do dessert . 2 missed opportunities for the server and the establishment to make more money. No one wants ask or guess what you have and what it costs . Food presentation was nice and meals were decent enough. Be ready for a 90% seafood menu though. The building is super nice and atmosphere was nice . Menus light up , kinda cool. All in all I wouldn’t go back here by choice but if someone had a birthday or event of some sort and I was invited...
Read moreThe atmosphere along with the saxophone player are the positives of this restaurant. The greeter and owners were more attentive than our waiter. He was nice and had personality, but did not wait our table well. When we arrived we ordered a bottle of wine, it was delivered by a very nice lady. Over 40 minutes later we were able to order. Our waiter did have a large group he was closing out. I ordered the short ribs which were okay, the pickled red onion was a nice surprise. I asked to sub out the potatoes for a salad, after being informed of an uncharged, I settled for more of the broccolini, literally 8 pieces max on a plate that cost $28. It also had no seasoning beside garlic chunks and maybe olive oil. I wanted to like this place as my mom had talked it up, but it fell short. There are so many choices to eat at in Canton, choose one you know...
