We decided to give this place a try since it’s new to the area. We arrived around 815-820pm, and there were six parties waiting on food. 830 they turned off the sign and said they are closing (regular closing time is 9) because they ran out of food. Each veggie you want to add, you pay extra. They line up so many orders at a time while waiting on the food, and add it as it’s done, so by the time you get your food, it’s not even hot. Okay, to the food. We got fried rice which is basically white rice and extra light soy sauce, no eggs, no green onions or anything extra. It was hard, probably due to rushing. Each meal came with some king of cabbage? We didn’t order it. The ginger sauce is light and runny. My husband said the yum-yum was okay but our daughter didn’t like it. The best part was the egg yolk sauce. Husband said the steak wasn’t good, tasted rushed, and dry. I got shrimp, it was good. The chicken was nothing special. Spring rolls didn’t really have a taste. I know this is a ‘fast take-out’ hibachi, but we’ll stick to House of Japan. I think this about sums it up! I hope this...
Read moreBased on my receipt, my order was placed at 7:22pm. The lady told me "about 10 minutes". After I watched a couple walk in after I did, order at the register, and received their food before my SINGLE order, I began asking about mine at 8:00 pm. She just said, "Oh yeah, egg yolk sauce is cooking," and pointed to the grill. Literally was the only thing on the grill. The entree was already sitting in a box on the counter. I FINALLY received my meal at 8:07pm. 45 minutes later! I got home ready to eat, and the first bite was like eating sand. If you've never accidentally had sand in your mouth/ between your teeth, be grateful! It's extremely likely that the food was dropped on the floor, and it was probably dirt. Needless to say, it was my 1st visit here and my LAST. Save your 45 minutes and $15-$17! DISGUSTING FOOD, POOR SERVICE, AND UNCOMFORTABLE SEATING! ...
Read moreMy new favorite Hibachi place in Columbus. I have visited Mr. Hibachi twice in the last two weeks and it has been amazing both times. They really put a lot of preparation and effort in their dishes. Unlike some other Hibachi places Mr. Hibachi’s food is packed with flavor. Additionally the portions are huge and prices are very affordable. I was quite surprised to see lobster tails on the menu. Topped with my favorite egg yolk sauce makes a wonderful meal! The employees are really helpful and polite. I truly felt welcomed and that is somewhat rare in today’s standards.
I would rate this restaurant five stars, however the interior is very underwhelming. The tables and chairs are very cheap and there is extremely limited seating available. I hope once the location starts thriving they are able to update the seating arrangements to better...
