"Company procedures" leave much to be desired. I placed an order for carry out around 10 minutes till 7:00 tonight, Wednesday Oct 14th for two Italian subs, one with extra banana peppers and one without and a medium pizza, pepp&mush on half and extra sauce. When I got home I find no banana peppers on either sub and the pizza was doughy and visible undercooked especially on the cheese side. I honestly rarely complain but the pizza was inedible. I call to make them aware of the issues and because I'm already home I am happy to eat the subs and I can finish cooking the pizza in my oven and I'm not interested in anything for free and a simple coupon for my inconvenience would suffice. I believe she thought I meant the sort of coupon they stuff in ads or mail out because she placed me on hold and then came back to say she couldn't find a coupon anywhere. They only mail them out. No problem. A coupon truly wouldn't suffice but I understand things happen and that given the circumstances with the pandemic that small businesses are hurting. However because there is apparently no way to honor a future discount to correct an incorrect order I asked if I could just receive a credit to replace the order at a future time. Again, I'm already home and don't feel like going back to Tammy's Pizza AGAIN. Tammy's Pizza does NOT give future credit to replace orders that they make wrong or to correct their mistakes.
She does however offer to remake the order for me. They'll gladly fix their mistakes IF I pack up the food that's made the trip from the store, in my car to my house and inside my kitchen. They want me to pack the food up and bring it AS PROOF that I didn't receive what I ordered. That's a rather poor policy to begin with as under NORMAL circumstances a restaurant should never accept returning food after its been to a table let alone to someone's home. Other than to throw it away of course. If Tammy's would like to look my phone number up in their system they'll see that we are repeat customers and for a number of years and have never complained. Yet they don't trust that I'm telling the truth? I have to pack the food back up and drive it back to Tammy's as proof I'm being honest? That's insulting enough BUT in the midst of a pandemic to require food that's been in a customers car and home be returned is simply irresponsible. Well I was telling them the truth about the order and now I'm beyond frustrated that any company would handle themselves in such a manor. So I pack the food back up and I drive it back to Tammy's Pizza.I take it inside and show it to the woman I had spoken to previously on the phone. With bare hands she opens the pizza box and styrofoam sub container and touches the food to inspect to confirm I'm being truthful. The same food that has been in my car and in my home and I've taken bites out of. No gloves. I witnessed no hand washing. That's offensive enough BUT again in the midst of the Covid 19 pandemic it's downright unbelievable. She finally conceded that indeed I was being truthful about the lack of banana peppers on the sub AND the doughyness of the undercooked pizza and that she had replacements in the oven already.
So I drive home from Tammy's for the second time tonight and for the second time tonight I received an undercooked pizza. The sub did have extra banana peppers on it so I'll give them that. I didn't bother with calling back but after seeing the owner/manager responding to negative google reviews I decided to voice my concerns publicly. I'm extremely disappointed with Tammy's Pizza and their business practices. As I invited the management to review my previous orders I would also encourage them to review my previous Google reviews as I like to use this tool as a resource to THANK and recognize exceptional service. I do not complain however this was unacceptable. I will look forward to a resolution at which time I will edit this post to reflect that. Until such time I reiterate Tammy's safety protocols are irresponsible and possibly dangerous and the customer service is...
Read moreService: My rating is primary based on the bad customer service provided. Their food is okay (see details below). And it was my son who reminded me we had a similar issue previously with them.
My wife ordered and paid for the food online for Broadway location. The food was to be ready in 35 mins. I arrived just at the time Tammy's Pizza said it would be ready. I went inside and checked in with the man at the counter. He pulled my order #58 and set it on the counter. He checked his register screen multiple times while pulling my order. He goes over all the food with me. I leave and go back home to find out they forgot to give me a chicken sub. I called and spoke with a woman. I informed her they forgot to give me a sub. She said they have it ready for me if I want to come back to pick it up. I asked due to their error if they would give me a discount or remove the sub ($10) since I have to come back. She said she would have to talk with her manager. I told her I was on my way back. I return to the store and I informed the woman at the store I was the one missing the sub. She got my sub and told me, the manager said the next time you order, we will give you some type of discount. This is a problem, because they did not validate all my order. I asked if the manager was available. She said Heidi and Tyler are the managers, and they were not there. I asked if there is an office number to reach them, and she said just to call the regular phone line.
The woman did not take any of my information for the managers to reach out to me. The managers did not call to talk to me about my order. To me this is poor customer service. Apparently they do not give the authority to their team at the location to fix situations for poor customer service. And I suspect Heidi and Tyler hopes people will forget about getting a discount since they don't even say what type of discount they will give. You should fix the situation then, not later. Horrible customer service.
Food: Pizza is okay. Cost is about the same with the pizza eateries nearby. 16" pizza, two subs, pasta, cheese fries, and breadsticks = @ $60 (with $5 coupon).
Ambiance: Clean from what...
Read moreWell, this is going to be a long one. I don't write many bad reviews, so when I do I try my best to explain. Of the two pizza joints on broadway I heard this one was better, but that isn't saying much. Pretty sure the pizza sauce is the base pizza sauce you can buy at GFS in the #10 cans. No added seasonings or anything. It's a very sweet kind of like a tomato paste type "sauce". We got the garlicy cheese pizza, breadsticks, and the works pizza(no green pepper). The sausage tasted like breakfast sausage. Maybe they need to meet up with the guys who make the Italian sausage at the Columbus Italian fest(that was really good). The pepperoni was good, it wasn't the spicy kind, so kid friendly. The mushrooms on the pizza were canned I'm about 95% sure. The crust was all soft so it didn't hold the toppings. The best thing we had were the garlic breadsticks. I really feel bad for Grove City not knowing what good pizza tastes like, you guys are truly missing out. Best thing I can say is try Little Italy in Groveport. They are about the closest thing to being as good a pizza as you can find in Chicago. I will say the service was really good. Friendly people and they seemed to be working hard. I noticed they made a few mistakes (it was super busy from the parade) with some customers, but they were quick to take care of the customer! Thanks...
