Terrible experience at Tammy's Hoover Rd.
I had kind of written them off because of a couple previous experiences but my wife asked me to grab Tammy's on my way out of Columbus as I headed towards home.
I ordered three pizzas. Showed up at the correct time and the cashier carelessly opened up the pizzas to check the contents. As he did some must have been stuck to the box and a couple pieces fell to the ground. He looked confused and asked me if that was ok. I said no so he grabbed the manager. He and the manager stood and looked at the floor for 30 seconds until I said , what are we going to do? He said we can remake that pizza and it will take 20 minutes. I said can you remake them all then or you can just give me a discount for the issue since some dropped. He said they "cannot remake them all and he would have to call the owners about a discount so that he doesn't get in trouble because he could not give discounts". I said that's fine. He came back about 7 minutes later and said "we did the math and determined the amount of pizza that was dropped was .90 cents worth so we will give you a discount for .90 cents". Not even $1, but 90 cents!! I was buying like $50 worth of pizza and would have been happy with either a discount of a few dollars for the inconvenience more so than the dropped pizza or a coupon for next time or something. I would have even been ok if he came and said, sorry for having you stand here and wait, we can take $2 off . 90 cents isn't even about the amount. It is a slap in the face to a paying customer. I left without the pizza. They can keep the .90 cent discount and I will keep my $50. It is not about the money, it is the customer service principle. This is definitely 3 strikes for me with this place. So unfortunate as it used to be one of my top places to...

My family and I have been eating at Tammy’s since I worked there beginning in 2007. My parents have since moved away but my husband and I still would make special trips up from Cincinnati to get our Tammy’s fix. This most recent trip was our last. I know they’re under new ownership, and it shows. Mark would have never allowed such poor tasting product or poor customer service. We ordered over the phone, and weren’t asked to specify dine in or carry out, so when we arrived I stated we wanted to dine in. The young worker said okay, it’ll be ready in about 10 minutes, which lined up with the 20-25 min wait time we had been given on the phone. Well, 40 more minutes go by and nothing. My two young children were running slightly wild around the place so it’s not like no one knew we were still there. We finally ask if there was a problem with the order, and a girl pulls it off the warming rack, it had been sitting there the whole time we had been in the shop. No offer to re-make anything or admitting to any kind of mistake on their part.
The crust was dry and tasteless as a cracker. The garlic bread was dry and shriveled (no surprise since it had been sitting out for almost an hour) and the dipping sauce was tasteless as well. The only thing that tasted good on the pizza was the pepperoni.
Wow, Tammy’s. I know Mark would be beside himself knowing this is what his...
Read moreI think this place is very cheap towards the customer. And I don't mean the prices, I mean the price is not,but cheap output of the restaurant. First of all, if you want water you have to pay for it. How convenient that their soda dispenser does not have free water like most restaurants. And there is a sign that says "If you share drink you don't get a refill." How many restaurants that have sign that says that. None.. Laughable. Then put some water at the soda dispenser. No they won't do that cause they wouldn't get the money you pay for water. Now for the food, salad is blah no cheese or anything. I ordered rigatoni and received noodles like macaroni. When I said something to management they said it is hard to get rigatoni from suppliers. Come on other restaurants have no problem, Pizza House on Sinclair, Oliver Garden, etc. Plus no bread comes with the meal you have to order separate. Any other Italian you get plain Italian bread for free, and only have to pay if you get garlic bread or something else. I have never seen anything like this.
In response, I do not expect something for nothing. The three of us spent over $30. A decent amount for a pizza joint. We are talking about bread and water. A commodity you get anywhere else. And if you are not serving Rigatoni, take it off the menu. We ate it because we were in a rush and hungry. And I won't...
