Title: A Memorable Stranger Things-themed Experience at Bradley's Olde Tavern
Rating: 8.2/10
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bradley's Tavern in Jackson, Georgia, and I must say, the overall experience left a lasting impression. As soon as I stepped inside, I was captivated by the amazing decor and aesthetics, which leaned towards the popular Stranger Things theme. It was fascinating to learn that some scenes from the series were actually shot right here.
First and foremost, cleanliness is a top priority for me when visiting any establishment, and Bradley's Tavern did not disappoint. The place was impeccably clean, creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere.
Now, let's talk about the food. I decided to try the Mayor Burger, accompanied by their homemade cut fries. The hand-made patties truly showcased the skill and dedication of the chefs. Although the fries appeared slightly burnt, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that they were cooked to perfection and had a wonderful flavor.
I had ordered my burger cooked medium-well, but unfortunately, it arrived overcooked and slightly dry. However, the saving grace was the freshness of the toppings, which added a burst of flavor to every bite. A dash of salt and pepper quickly remedied the situation, allowing me to elevate the taste to my liking.
One aspect that truly stood out was the value for money. Bradley's Tavern offers a great deal for the quality and portion sizes they provide. The prices were reasonable, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking for good food without breaking the bank.
The service I received from Marlana, my server/bartender, was exceptional. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure I had everything I needed throughout my visit. Her warm and professional demeanor added to the overall positive experience.
In conclusion, I rate Bradley's Tavern with a score of 8.2 out of 10. Although there were minor hiccups with the burger's cooking level, the outstanding decor, cleanliness, flavorful fries, and great value for money more than made up for it. I'm already looking forward to returning to this small town tavern whenever I find myself in the area. Bradley's Tavern truly rivals big city taverns and provides a memorable dining experience for both locals and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI took my girlfriend last night for her birthday. We drove 30 min to get there. At around 8:28 we ordered two drinks and a minute later we asked to see menus; we were told that the kitchen was closing. Well it wasnāt closed but they had cleaned everything and she was instructed not to take any orders. I asked what time the kitchen closed and she said nine. I showed her my phone and said that it was 8:30. She said donāt ask her she just works there. Ultimately we had to leave our drinks full and hurry to find somewhere else to go for her birthday. But first after quite a bit of grumbling and questioning about the kitchen time in disbelief, she apologized and said that she asked the kitchen and they said two quick meals only. I mean like that. She was nice but the message she relayed from the kitchen was rude and insulting even after she tried very hard to make it not sound rude and disquise with politeness. Basically we were lucky to be allowed to have the honor of them cooking us a couple of meals because their not closed kitchen was closed and the master engineer had already cleaned and did not want to dirty anything. (Obviously because they wanted to leave early. Itās called pre closing and it is only a āthingā that benefits lazy employees; not customers, owners, or managers.)
Keep in mind that it is 8:30 pm. Iām not begging a business to serve me so I told them no weād just go somewhere else. To make matters worse, they made me pay for the $20 drinks that we did not drink. We would never have ordered drinks if we knew they werenāt serving food. They advertise late night food!!! If you would like to feel insulted, not apreciated and pay for stuff that you did not want, need, or use, go to this place. I paid her and left her a $3 tip for the still full drinks and we went across the block to the Mexican place where we were treated extremely well and enjoyed great food; however, it was bad enough of an experiance that it is hard to shake the way that we were treated even the next day. I mean there were people around us finishing their and another guy trying to order wings for him and his friends for the gama as we were leaving. It basically felt...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe read on a previous post that drink refills and water weren't free. I asked about that and was told that after 5:00 refills and water were not free, but before 5:00 they weren't extra. At $2.50 a pop, I don't understand the thought process on that. In our opinion refills and water should not be extra as long as you are having a meal.
I had the 1/4 pound sheriff burger with onion rings. It didn't look very big to me. I asked how they determined their burger size and was told that the meat was fresh and weighed daily. If that is the case, then I was wrong on that one. I'm a pickel guy and missed a few with my burger. My wife had the 2 each chili dog meal with onion rings. It looked larger than my meal.
The building was warm, the food took a while to get, and there were only one other couple ordering at the same time.
I understand that my review might sound a bit negative, but don't overthink it. They are just getting started at this location.
Now the good. My burger was cooked medium just as I requested. There were enough onion rings, and enough burger to satisfy, but not stuff me. The flavor was good on my meal. My wife said her meal was good as well. Our waitress, Autumn was very polite and helpful.
To be fair it seems that most restaurant's in Jackson seem to be a bit overprised, but there really isn't much of an option other than driving further away and burning more gas.
We will be back. We will try other menu items as well as other beverages.
I really tried to be fair...
