Me & wife ate there this Saturday night, $13.99 each plus drink. Get the sweet tea because that's what you'll be filling up on because everything else was horrible. Hostess showed us to table and never said a word.Waitress brought our drinks and never came back but we could see her yappin with the other employees the whole time. Buffet was empty and waited 15 mins to bring some food out. BarBQ was floating in water. Chicken strips tough as leather and cold. Mashed potatoes made with water and tasted like baby food of some sort. Weirdest looking brown gravy I've ever seen, looked like jelly instead of gravy. Catfish would have been good if they cooked it longer but was raw in middle. Hushpuppies was like biting into chalk balls, obviously refried leftovers from night before. Rolls were cold as hell. Baked beans were decent. Blackeye peas were bland. Never brought any fries out so don't know bout those. Fried breaded shrimp was strait from a school cafeteria and tasted as such and cold. Not a single desert on the buffet, what the hello. So we tried every single thing they had, couldn't eat any of it and was at Dominos getting a pizza 45 mins later after spending $33 and change on this crapola. Decor looks the same as 15 years ago, drab, depressing and moldy smelling. Check out girl was nice but acted angry when we didn't have a ticket. Told her we never saw our waitress. Will never come back. New owner should stick to pizzas because this ain't working. Zero stars if I could.

If you are unfamiliar with the location, it’s sort of hard to find. The driveway entrance is next door to love and truth church and winds around to the restaurant. You cannot see the actual restaurant from the road, only their sign. There is a drive thru which is how I ordered. I purchased the chicken tender lunch plate with a large drink. The price was $12.61 with tax. I’d say the price is about 25% higher than a chicken tender meal from large fast food chains. The quality of the food is oh so much better though. You get what you pay for. Generous portion and very tasty. The honey mustard for dipping had a great taste.

First time diner. Heard it was good so came for lunch. First impressions of the place are good. It’s truly a barn! And it’s on a lake with relatively good views of a lake and many, many A/C units! For the price for 2 at lunch it’s not worth it. Before tip it was $32. The service was fantastic and very genuine. The food was just OKAY. I guess there’s different camps when it comes to southern food and I was disappointed to find that this place has Sweet cornbread! That’s sacrilegious where I’m from!

My wife and I went to Brooksie's Barn Restaurant to place a take-out order. We went to the on-line menu to determine what each member of our family wanted to order and what the price would be. When we went to the Take-Out Order Window we found out that part of the food on the On-Line-Menu was no longer available such as Onion Rings.

The amount we figured our order would cost after taking out what was no longer available to eat came to $66.94 (this included the taxes on the food.) However, when they gave us the food they told my wife our bill was for $102.58. This was $35.64 more than what the On-Line-Menu stated it should be. This is a terrible Bait and Switch!!!

I realize that food has gone up in price because of what is happening in our country and across the world, but this is a 35% increase!!! If you are going to increase your prices you need to make sure the price increases are shown on your website and not spring it on your customer after you give us the food and there is not a way to amend our order. I will no longer ever go to Brooksie's, nor will I recommend this restaurant to any of my friends or family!!!

The food was delicious. Unfortunately, it was buffet only. The MAJOR problem was the dining rooms. We were seated in a small side room with the low ceiling, it was extremely loud and the tables were crowded. Hubby and I couldn't hear each other talk. Waitress and guest would rub up against our table. The person cleaning the tables had his cart against the back of my chair. It was extremely uncomfortable seating. The restaurant was also seating people upstairs over the buffet. There was no other way to get up there except to climb the wooden stairs along with holding your plate. We saw several senior citizens struggling. Some had others assisting them with plates while they maneuvered the steep stairs. Whoever is seating should never seat seniors upstairs. This is an accident waiting to happen. However, there is another dining room with a higher ceiling overlooking the water. My suggestion is to ask for that dining room even if...
