The below review is purely based on the Pho Tai(#2 on the menu) and is not a reflection of the service in any way. The staff were very kind to my party and I’m sure would have tried to remediate any issues had we brought them up.
This is hands down the worst pho I have ever had, I’m not sure what the issue was but the taste and smell of the broth was distinctly vomit-like. Let me be clear, I am a white man, with white man taste buds, but I came here with my girlfriend and her Vietnamese family who all agreed with me. I tried everything, I tried sriracha, hoisin, bean sprouts, mint, lime, hell I even tried soy sauce(SOY SAUCE, IN PHO) NOTHING made it better. I’m hoping it was just a bad day for the pho but I personally will never be back to check. I can’t risk it, I don’t think I’d survive round 2. If you want pho, just make the drive to Memphis or make instant at home. You genuinely could not pay me to...
Read moreOk. Everything is a 5 all the way. The broth and seasonings are delicious. Very rich. I’m so glad there’s a pho place in jackson now. Hopefully if they grow they can expand and start selling bahn mi. 🤤 We got take out so I don’t have any info on servers but the man and woman I spoke to behind the counter were so kind. We will definitely be back.
The ONLY tiny issue I have is the price. There are 2 options: medium and large. The medium is what you see pictured. Plenty for a meal. The medium bowls are $17-$18 and the large is a little bit more. I fully recognize that there are no local Asian markets and they have to go to Memphis or Nashville. (Hopefully we will see an Asian grocery next!!!) But I’ll be honest with you. I priced everything out today to make my own at home and it came out to about $20 a person and I already had the spices on hand! So having said that it was worth not having to...
Read moreThe dining area is nice and serene. Love the calming music. My first round of egg rolls were fabulous and the Kiwi Tea some of the best ever. The Pho itself was terrible but served eloquently for the price of the bowl there was flavorless meat and what felt like plant based noodles. Bland and boring. After I added some of what I found out was homemade chili oil to the mix. It spiced it up decent enough to eat. Right towards the end of my meal the lady at the register started plunging the sink about 15 feet away from me. Which that, combined with slurping broth from a bowl and looking at the side of a spotty, dirty water glass, made me instantly put down my sticks and pay for my meal and leave. The people are great but no way would I ever come here again nor do I recommend it. The prices are also...
