Cody’s Sports Bar and Grill REVAMPED — Restaurant in Jackson

This is definitely Not the Cody's everyone used to know!

I haven't been to Cody's in 30 years. Lots of good old memories in this place back in the day. Other than a few cosmetic updates, the look of the place hasn't changed much. But, oddly enough, we didn't hear any county music while we were there.

It was around 7 on Friday night and we were pretty much the only people there apart from a few who were sitting at the bar. We went for dinner after hearing on the radio how good their food is. Unfortunately, the food was just ok. We ordered the patty melt, bacon cheeseburger and a cheese pizza. We both wanted to order the steak, but I didn't have any confidence that the 14 oz. Ribeye meal would be worth the $30 price tag. Drinks came out in small clear plastic cups, half the size of a Solo cup. When the waitress brought our ticket, it was hand written on a napkin. I went to what used to be known as the best steaks in town. We had a terrible experience! Cody's were completely unprepared and the quality of food was just not up to par. It is incredibly frustrating when you have high expectations and the reality is so disappointing. Cody's really dropped the ball on both food and service. It's disappointing when a place with a good reputation fails to deliver, especially when you're looking forward to a nice meal with friends. The cook Lo-Lo told us, in some many ways to leave. It's definitely important to listen to those Red flags and trust your instincts when it comes to choosing where to dine. The steaks were Salty, dry, tough and inedible! I will go to...

Was there this weekend. paid to get in with friends, walked out to get some air old guy cleaning the parking lot seen me come out. as i was walking back in he rushes in to sit at the register and told me i did not pay and he did not see me come out. after trying to explain that i was a paying customer, a employee recognized me and said i was good. at that point i just asked for a refund. i was not going to stay after that but the whole thing was because i just wanted to get the friends that were in there and tell them i was leaving. so they wouldnt allow me to even do that and then got pushed out by the bouncer that works in there out the door. this place needs some management training...
