Taqueria “ EL PRIMO EXPRESS” — Restaurant in Jackson

HORRIBLE experience at the Taqueria El Primo express #3 at 1302 N. Highland today. This was my 1st time visiting this food truck/business. The girl taking my order did not seem to understand English well. I asked how much the taco birria's were. She said $1 I said $1? She said yes. I said ok no cilantro she kept saying no onion? I said onion yes, cilantro no. I asked for 6 since she said they were $1. I then asked how much is it? She said what sounded like $6 and some change. I handed her my credit card & she gave me a receipt for $26.34!!! I said you charged me $26.34 for 6 tacos????!! She mumbled something about Tuesday's. I said well I don't want them now & she said it was too late it was already charged!!! She literally had just swiped my card, & wouldn't cancel the transaction!!! Nothing had been made, she literally still had my card in her hand!!! This is ridiculous!!!! Then when my buzzer went off that my order was ready, she had an attitude, no thank you, sorry about the mishap...NOTHING! I will not be returning, that's for sure!!! Can I tell you that this place has the best Mexican food in Jackson TN so far that I have tasted! I was allowed to construct a shrimp nacho with no guacamole and no jalapenos but it did come with refried beans, cheese, cilantro, tomato, and onions. They were open and closed at an adequate time. The staff was very polite. I paid a little over $15 for the shrimp nachos that night and then I came back that morning and ordered the chicken nachos which were $12. The shrimp was better than the chicken, ijs. I also ordered a pork taco and chicken taco. I sprinkled a little lime over it and some of the Green Mild sauce for the first time. The chicken was not the right chicken. I am going to ask them if they have shredded chicken next time. The pickled carrot on the side threw me for a loop but it was good. I like the pork better than the chicken. This cantaloupe drink didn't have a lot of sugar in it but it was very flavorful. This is my new spot in Jackson TN for Mexican food....

The food here is AMAZING!!! That is if you get what you ordered. They have gotten my order wrong 4 out of 5 times that I’ve ordered the taco truck in Humboldt. The guy the runs it during most days is absolutely amazing! The woman who runs it the rest of the time is an absolute joke. Tonight she decided to argue with me and get mad that I asked the my order be corrected. I ordered a carne asada, quesadilla, and sopes. I got a steak quesadilla and a sopes. I even repeated the order back to her after I told her it seemed that it was incorrect. She said she has it. I have never been rude, even though they mess my order up often (maybe due to a language barrier; even though she claims to understand even when I speak to her in Spanish). Then she claims that they don’t have what I’m looking for and is extremely disrespectful for their mistake. I have spent over $400 here in the last month because they food is great but because of her I will not be back. I’d rather go to the subpar Mexican restaurant down the road than to deal with her disrespect ever again. You need somebody new to replace her that knows how to run a business and show her customers some respect whenever SHE is the reason the order is wrong.
