Me and my business partner typically eat sushi or hibachi once a week, and decided to try this place out and I must say, the restaurant appeared very clean compared to alot of other places, however if you want to be judged or spoken to differently because of your work attire. This is the place for you. My server didn't appear to have an issue speaking to customers at the other tables simple small talk like saying hello, hows your day and being attentive making sure they had everything they needed, like a good server should, but we had a completely different experience. First off all she said to us was asking about a order and what kind of drink we would like. Didn't even great us with a hello or even check on us what so ever during the dining experience. It all started when I asked for a dynamite roll and a bowl of fried rice. Then she asked me if I would like any meat in the rice and I was surprised and said sure add some steak. I didn't mind paying a few more dollars. When the food arrived I was served a huge plate of fried rice that was three times the price of a bowl of fried rice which states $2 on the menu. Instead it was $13 for the plate of rice which was never brought to my attention prior to ordering and when I asked about it she said that's what I ordered which I did not. She had an issue when I said I didn't want it. Then somehow a fried dynamite roll took over 15 minutes to get when their were only three other tables. I didn't receive my food until my friend who ordered the hibachi lunch was finished with his food. What a terrible place. Terrible food and service. I like spending money on food, but will not go back to this place. Youre better off going to Kaiba Japanese Steak house down the road. They will actually pre buss your...
Read moreWe have never thrown out sushi in our life. We ordered from this place only because someone gave us a $50 gift card. Since it was new to me, I ordered things I was familiar, mostly specialty rolls. My husband and I have been sushi lovers for at least 15 years, trying places all over the country. I have no idea what meat was in these rolls. I never order salmon on my first visit, working in healthcare and knowing what happens if you eat bad salmon. We ordered 7 rolls (5 specialty rolls and 2 basic), spent $65, the only roll that was edible was the rainbow roll with spicy crab on top, called the rocky mountain roll, the rest of it was nasty, dried out, like it was sitting around for awhile. Maybe that's why it was ready so quick. I had to call to order instead of ordering online because we had a paper gift certificate. She was very pleasant on the phone, said the order would be ready in 20 mins. Order was ready to go when my husband called. the worst part was there were hard crunchy things like bones in some of the rolls and I finally spit it out the 2nd or 3rd time I felt something and it looked like fish scales. So gross. Nice people, very fast, nasty sushi. I should've taken a picture, but all I can send is the picture of what's in the trash! So sad, we've never thrown out sushi, but we didn't want...
Read moreGot takeout from here since it's takeout only. I ordered Yellowtail nigiri, and two pieces of Salmon sashimi. My partner had the Katsu chicken hibachi with clear soup, steamed white rice, and ginger salad. However, the sauce that came with the Katsu Chicken tasted like straight BBQ sauce. We used the sauce because the chicken was SUPER dry. But everything else tasted really good. The tails were super easy to take off the tempura shrimp that was in the black dragon roll. The rolls stayed together because the jasmine rice was really sticky, which I enjoy. Less likely to have a piece of the roll come undone. I would definitely try to eat here in the future and hopefully they open up after the pandemic calms down since it was takeout only. It was located in a plaza with Target, Books-A-Millions, and other various stores. Right off...
