I have good things and bad things to say about relish. I've been several times now and know what to expect.
The burgers are very good, except a little on the salty side. I love the concept of a byob burger moving down the line, but the burgers are simply oversalted and it takes away from how good the burgers could be provided better seasoning. There is a very wide selection of toppings which is also nice.
The fries however are where things fall off for me. The fries themselves are very good, great even. I also love that you can pick up cajun or garlic seasoning and make the fries to your liking. Just one problem. You get so few of them! I remember looking one day and thinking I could get more fries from a small at a fast food place. At $3, it isn't worth it. At least offer a large fry or something! Help somebody out.
In fact, the value proposition isn't great here. On the surface, the burgers themselves are cheap, but fries and a drink add $4.40 to your total which is just insane. If you want a double with fries and a drink, you're looking at over $12 without cheese and bacon, which is approaching five guys territory; probably not who you want to compete with considering they fill bags up with fries on an average order. I could go to many other places and get burgers with fries way cheaper than here, and its unfortunate that this place ends up falling by the wayside in my mind as a result of this.
Relish has a lot of potential, but something has to give. Salt the burgers less is easy enough Either fry portions have to be more than a fast food small or you have to help out with prices. As is, the value of Relish is just not good, and I can't justify spending that much when there's so many other...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe food was amazing, the customer service- not so much. I placed an online order for pickup. I got the text that my order was ready at 2:47pm. I was ignored for a good 3 minutes minimum when I walked in. There was a girl standing there doing a whole lot of nothing, wearing air pods in her ears (HEALTH CODE VIOLATION), while another girl in the back was doing dishes. I saw my bag on the lower counter part in front of the main girl and waited a little longer for some acknowledgment. I reached the point of complete irritation and finally spoke up. I said, "HELLO, I placed an online order, and I got a text saying it was ready?" She proceeded to give me my bag and was SUPER dismissive. She asked if I had a shake, and I said yes. She said, "Have a good day!". I was like "ummm I'm sorry? I don't have my shake yet?" She proceeded to hollar for the girl in the back to make my shake, which she did, and she was super sweet handing it to me. I wonder if the first girl was annoyed because I didn't leave a tip online? I had 7 bucks in cash in my pocket for the tip, (Which was OVER 20%), but after her rude attitude, I left without giving it to her. In hindsight- I should have given it to the other girl. I wish I had asked for names. It is so disappointing to spend over 30 bucks of hard earned money to be treated like this. Maybe if she wasn't too busy listening to music or having a conversation with her airpods in- the atmosphere would have felt more welcoming. It really doesn't take much to kill someone's appetite. I also find it funny that on my receipt under the server name it says "Cashier C" so I can't even give a review with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDear Valerie store Management,
I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received at your establishment on 03/20/25. Earlier in the day, I spoke with the manager on shift, Milani, regarding an issue with my order. My burger was missing the requested add-ons, and since I had not eaten it, I asked if I could bring it back to have it remade. Milani assured me that this would be fine she can remake it and informed me that she would be leaving by 5 PM but would notify the next manager on duty to take care of the issue.
However, when I arrived at 5 PM and spoke with Jennifer, the shift manager, she was extremely unprofessional. Despite explaining what Milani had told me, Jennifer dismissed it, stating that she didnāt care what the previous manager had said and refused to remake my burger. When I pointed out that my burger was cold and had not been touched due to the incorrect order, she simply told me to heat it up in the microwave when I got home. Additionally, she incorrectly claimed that the add-ons were āfree,ā which is not true, as they are factored into the price of the burger upon purchase.
This experience was disappointing, and I expected better customer service from a manager. I would appreciate it if this matter could be addressed, as I do not believe this reflects the level of service your restaurant aims to provide.
Thank you for your time. I look forward to...
