Chicken Country — Restaurant in Jacksonville

We ordered 2 3pc dinners. After receiving our food we noticed that one dinner was fresh and the other wasn’t. I couldn’t even eat the thigh it was so tough. I called and politely expressed that one meal wasn’t fresh. The lady was very rude and told me that they had just dropped 32 pieces of chicken in the past 30 minutes. I told her yes because my partners food was fresh. I told her that I had pictures of the chicken and would bring it back. However, instead of trying to correct the food or give me the opportunity to bring it back so they could see it, she just continued to shove down my throat that they had just cooked 32 pieces of chicken. The WORST customer service EVER. She didn’t have to replace the food because I don’t mind paying, but don’t force what you’ve done basically telling me I’m lying. I wasted my money and I’ll never go back where as a customer my business isn’t...

Their drive thru has always been a bit cramped but the last two times I've been there it has been unacceptable. The first time the drive thru was closed. No signage but the windows were full of trash cans and there was no answer at the order station. The last time there was an older woman working the window who wasn't able to service more than one car at a time. When I pulled in there were three cars in front of me and the driveway was overfull. The ole gal took one order and then waited until she handed the first car their order before she took the second order. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!! The younger gal who used to work the drive thru was competent. Not so with the older gal. Chicken Country you've lost a customer who used to drive 15-20 minutes for your usually...

Been getting chicken gizzards here for over 20 years. Drove 30 minutes out of my way to get there. I waited in the drive thru almost 15 minutes before they came over the speaker to inform me they were closed and the car in front of me would be the last one served. It was still 30 minutes before their posted closing time. I called they said they were out of chicken. When I told them all I wanted was gizzards they said it was too much trouble. They would have to cook them. An hour of my life I’ll never get back. Refused to let me talk to a manager. It would have been ok but why let me sit there so long before telling me they were closed. Service there isn’t what it used to be. Sorely disappointed. Been a regular customer there for a quarter century and I won’t be back...
