Waffle House — Restaurant in Jacksonville

The staff here are friendly, but they could improve when it comes to listening and getting orders right. Uncertain in this instance if it's the server or the cook.

I typically order the same thing at any Waffle House, but on this occasion, I was told there were no substitutes. Eventually, they did provide the substitution. It was an unexpected surprise, as I’ve never had an issue like this before. In this case I think maybe the server didn't know this was a possibility. My eggs were not cooked correctly. I chose to not have them corrected as so many other issues were already going on.

The other person in my party ordered a meal without eggs, but they had to redo the order, because it came out with the eggs! Longer wait time now for them to eat.

Last party member complained about receiving old grits, hard & clumpy. Also had issues with missing items—like the waffle, that should have come with the meal & extra sideof test requested. Lemon for my water, asked at the beginning, received it towards the end of my meal.

The fact that we had to keep asking for our server and trying to ger her attention made the whole experience longer and more frustrating. There were so many issues with the meal that it took even longer to address them because our server was hard to get ahold of.

Added an extra star just due to the friendliness...

Our waitress Natalie was polite and friendly, however, it was my entire family (husband and wife with 2 children -1 boy 1 girl) she only really spoke to my daughter and my husband. She didn't speak to my son at all. My order (wife) bacon Angus burger meal was completely incorrect when brought to our table. Kids had to wait til their waffles were almost cold before being able to eat due to the staggered delivery of syrup to the table. No butter was provided for the waffles. Once I finally got my order (still incorrect-as I had ordered double order of hasbrowns covered and peppered and received a single order to which the cheese was still cold and not at all melted) the burger was plain no toppings. She never checked on our drinks or if we needed anything else. She even brought the check before we had ANY food item on the table. My husband thinks that it was the cook who ultimately messed up and the cook was more worried about talking to the guys there who appeared to be friends not customers. I was really looking forward to this Valentines day meal and was very disappointed. I have NEVER had any issue with this location before....

They are nasty, the customer service is horrible they laugh in you face they laugh at how you want your food they was being funny and made me pay for food I didn't eat because it wasn't made right it's like I was eating in a jail serving eggs with grease and it was horrible they were gossiping about me and they were staring thinking now ones saw them they were showing favoritism to other and they were just very slow bringing the food they tried and acted like it was my faught but it wasnt they were just horrible the only thing that was good was when I got up and left that chaotic place and when and when I left they still was talking and laughing about the situation. Had to send my food back multiple times after saying specifically how I want my food they still to begin to argue with me and how I said what I said and then it was a point where had to go ask for to go box because they just stop coming to our table they are very unprofessional and childish.
