Firehouse Subs Waterford Creek — Restaurant in Jacksonville

I’ve never had any problems there until tonight. I ordered my food in Italian sub, and the checker went back towards the back, after he took my order I noticed a young man cleaning back behind the register wearing gloves. I was the only customer in there, so I stood in front of the cash register to watch, he asked me can I help you? I said I’m just watching than he turned to make my sub. Taking the meat and putting it on a piece of paper, wearing the same gloves he was wearing when he was cleaning the back counter I asked him to change his gloves because I don’t want to get sick and he ripped his gloves off his hands and threw them in the garbage and gave lots of attitude I was afraid to eat my food because you can’t see behind the counter when he’s making the sandwich , so I asked for refund because I didn’t know what he’s gonna do to my food behind the counter. His attitude was so bad I told the manager that I will pay for the chips because I was standing at the counter eating them . And my refund has not been placed back on my ATM card yet I was very disappointed I eat at this restaurant once or twice a month and never had any problems before, they’re normally...

The Manager a white lady with brown hair who was in charge was very rude to the girl who looked like she was new was taking out order, and to my friend/ roommate who is allergic to tomatoes When he ordered his food all he wanted was meat, cheese, lettuce, and mayo... when the manager brought the food to us he said that he asked for no tomato no pickles, she took it away and not even a min later brought it back he looked at it again and said I can't have the tomatoes seeds on there the Manager snatched it off the table mumbled something under her breath and stormed off asking somebody else to remake the sandwich. Then I was watching her she was still being rude. Then I asked my roommate if he wanted to leave and I had my food I. Hand to take back.... she the "Manager" comes around asking me if there 8s something wrong with my food I said idk she turns around grabs my roommate sandwich and tosses it on the table, then I confront her about her attitude she rolls her eyes at me and said whatever...

Do you know what I didn’t have to do today? Make my own lunch. But these kind people were here ready to make me an excellent sandwich today.

Everyone was kind and the restaurant was clean. My sandwiches were made exactly to order. I always know that I’m going to get a consistently good quality sandwich from Firehouse.

This is a pretty regular watering hole for our men and women in uniform at the Little Rock Air Force Base. Today the staff at Firehouse Subs was being extra efficient during the lunch rush.

One lady was taking orders and getting sandwiches, ready while the cashier was trying to get everyone rung up for their order. The result was that I got my food faster than I normally do. I really appreciate their efficiency.

I also like their Coca-Cola Freestyle drink machine. You can customize your drink to your liking with different flavors. My wife likes their peach flavor.
