New China Restaurant — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Went here and ate. They have one price for their lunch and a different price for dinner. I would be ok with with that except they charge more for dinner and less for lunch. The food tonight at dinner was horrible. It was old, had sat out too long and the sushi fell apart. I am an Executive Chef and could tell right away the door had been out too long. I didn’t want to cause a scene so I got a plate and sat down. When I started eating the coconut shrimp I noticed that the shrimp had been somewhat Deveinedbut still had fecal matter left inside. I complained and was told “I’m sorry, I hope your next visit is better”. I said I was not going to pay because I had only eaten a few bites off my plate and also the person that was there with me had only a few bites. I was told that if I didn’t pay that they would call the police. So instead I decided not to make a scene. I payed the bill but I will make it my mission to cause this place to lose as much business as possible. I know that they have lost my business. I often have to entertain other due to my job and often brought guests here. That will never happen again. I know that there are times that service may not be up to par but at these times you should not expect your customer to pay full price. I certainly didn’t get Full service. I don’t just sit around making complaints about companies but I will when I feel that a situation merits it and this situation...

This place is a dump!! Me and my husband went to eat there but it wasn't until after we had the food on our plates we seen cockroaches crawling around the food and on the plates. DISCUSTING!!! There was several cockroaches in the bathrooms also crawling all over the floor and walls. We informed one of the staff about the cockroaches and they did not even care so we decided not to eat the food and decided to leave and go somewhere else. The workers follow us outside yelling at us demanding us to pay or the they were going to call the police. We refused to pay for their cockroach infested food so they called the police. The police came and had words with the employees and they still wanted us to pay or they were going to press charges and have us arrested. In the end we ended up paying, we decided we didn't want to go to jail over 20 dollars. Where's the dam justice? Its just not right to make someone pay for food knowing there are cockroaches on the food and dishes. Needless to say we won't be back and will be calling the department of health!! If you think you want to eat at new china in Jacksonville ar at 201 Marshall rd. Think again. Its nasty and who wants to eat at a place...

I would have given them a 5 for the food, until I tasted the chicken fried rice that I ordered, and it doesn't seem to be chicken that they gave me...it seems to be pork,it has a lot of fat on it..and it's chopped up so little and it's fried in a batter like coating! This is really wierd and upsetting to me, I came all the way home to discover that this is definitely not chicken!! I'll go back there maybe for the egg fu Yung,and other shrimp meals,but I don't trust them with anything else now! So unfortunate that this was my first time ever going there! I'm trying to call them now, and hopefully I'll get a positive response from them ‼️The food presentation was great, but again I'm upset with the chicken fried rice!! Update:So I took the chicken fried rice back to them the following day, and the lady didn't want to take it back or give me a refund,she said that they use chicken thighs instead of breast! I told her that it was mainly fat on my plate and I didn't want it! So they kept it..and I paid a few dollars more for the chicken and broccoli... which was on the small side.. definitely won't be ordering anything else besides egg fu Yung from their...
