Ok, times are tough, we get that, boo Covid. But can you work with us even a little?! I came in to pick up a to go food order. I wanted to take two cocktails, which is currently allowed with the changes in state statutes allowing both to go mixed drinks and delivery of alcohol through third parties. I wanted two vodka lemonade drinks on the menu. I was informed only margaritas were allowed to be packaged to go, and no hard liquor. I politely asked what was in the margaritas if they didn't have hard liquor, and was informed they contained tequila. I asked why they could/would dispense tequila but not other liquor. They informed me they were only allowed to package margaritas to go and that wasn't up for debate. Ok, I'll adapt, I get it, current circumstances are challenging, let's work together. Since margaritas appeared to be my only option, I agreed to take two, but kindly requested they be made without the sour mix, because it doesn't agree with my partner. I was flat out told they would lose their license if they gave me a to go cocktail that had less sour mix in it. I clarified: so, no hard liquor, but tequila is ok, but only if it's in a margarita (you can't get a different tequila drink), but not if the margarita contains less non-alcoholic sour mix with club soda instead, because THEN you'll lose your license, even though to go cocktails of all kinds including mixed drinks are currently permitted, and there are no rules dictating how much sour mix must be included? I wasn't asking him to make them stronger, just to leave out the sour mix. He refused. Now THAT'S customer service!! Nevermind I ordered the loaded boneless chicken wings and paid $11 for what amounted to 6 chicken nuggets with cheap queso dumped on them. What a joke. I must say we had a bad enough experience we won't be back. What an unaccommodating bunch of blow holes with overpriced food and zero...
Read moreWhere to start? The server was inattentive throughout. Mostly he was sitting down, chatting with a girl and was barely visible. We ordered classic nachos for starters. Had to ask for eating plates. We were a party of four. Server dropped 3 plates and vanished. Maybe he thought one of us was dieting? Food was cold. We ordered a sizzler (fajitas) which was barely warm with veggies half cooked and tortillas (which we had to remind our server to bring because he forgot) were plain cold. Meanwhile, couple of tables over people had a real 'sizzling' sizzler. When we pointed out that food was cold, our server actually asked us - Oh! It wasn't hot? Could he not tell if there was no steam emanating from out food? No topping up of our water throughout. Not even a check to see if it was needed. We drank just water and that too seemed to be in short supply. Our son asked for a refill and only he got a refill. We ordered a molten chocolate cake as desert which was again, barely lukewarm. When we complained about food quality, server said sorry. That's it. No explanations, no questions on what specifically was wrong. He was barely interested.
In the beginning we were wondering if we had a bad server, by midway we had decided not to return to this particular Chili's again and by the end we decided that we were done with Chili's, period. We were passing time trying to figure out if we had done something to offend our server and he was out for revenge. We couldn't wait to get out of there. It was humiliating to be treated this way. Still tipped him 15%. Hope he remembers and treats others...
Read moreIf you're in the mood for poor bar service, mediocre food and a bathroom that looks worse than a used up port-o-potty, this is the place to go! My best friend and I hadn't met for dinner since the pandemic started. Prior to, we would meet at this Chilis about once every 6 weeks. It wasnt bad, but, the same bar tender would be there and he rarely checked on us or would take forever to get a food order from us. Last time we were there, he over salted my margarita drink, food was mediocre and he rarely checked on us. He was more interested in serving the few bar regulars that he knew. But we let it go. Today, the same bartender was there. The bar was a mess. Tables were a mess. He cleaned our area once we asked him to. We ordered our drinks to which once again, my margarita was over salted. Then after 20 mins, I called him over so we could order food. He got mine and ignored my best friend. I had to wait another 10 mins before we could put her order in. He never came back to check on us. Then he took my food, I guess assuming I was done, to which I wasn't. Checks were wrong. Then, the best part of this thrill ride, the bathroom trip. The womens bathroom had a flooded toilet. Water was all over the floor and gently flooded the other stalls. Toilet paper was everywhere... wet toilet paper. Trash was on the floor and it smelled. Thank God there was some soap left in the dispenser! So, to say all of this, I know this was our experience and not everyone's is the same, but there is certainly room for...
