I used to work at a very authentic hole in the wall, all Asian, delicious Chinese food restaurant. I know my Chinese food and I can tell pretty quickly if a place is gonna be good or if I am better off going to one of the other 600 Chinese food restaurants in jax. China dragon is one that I trust. Constantly make some of the best fried rice I've ever had, usually they'll throw in an extra egg roll or two, and they have the real fried wanton strips not the gross stale starchy ones that some places have (best way to tell if a place is good is the wanton strips that we all end up eating while bringing the food home anyway). great prices as well. Like 10 bucks for 2 huge portions of fried rice and a couple egg rolls. Well worth it. And the staff there are very nice, unbelievably quick to get your food out and all around good people. 10/10 always order a couple more egg rolls than you think you'll need. You always want...
Read morePhenomenal and authentic, New York style Chinese food, a.k.a. classic Americanized Chinese. Flavors are on point portion size was generous. Quality of the ingredients was good. The inside looks like any average Chinese takeout place a little bit dingy however things appeared clean and in order. The Hunan chicken was exceptional, succulent, spicy, and perfectly cooked. My companion had the sesame chicken lunch and it was also very well prepared and fried tasted freshly fried. The pork eggroll was also very generously stuffed. The fried rice was also a standup. It was very well seasoned with a nice roasted pork flavor profile. this is my first time dining here and I’ve had several Chinese spots around town and this one stands is the best. I will be back to try more prices were about what you would expect not the cheapest but definitely...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible. I just moved into this area and was hoping to find a good local Chinese Restaurant. How does this place have a 4+ star review!? My beef and broccoli was unlike any other beef I’ve ever eaten and is exactly what I imagine opossum tasting like. At least the broccoli seemed fresh. The egg rolls were practically empty, and were dripping with grease (cooking oil). I also ordered chicken noodle soup, which I’m afraid to try at this point. Maybe I’m just spoiled by the last few years ordering from Hunan Wok on Monument.
Overall, the food was trash and I threw half of it away. I gave it 2 stars because it didn’t have mold growing on it or bugs...
