I go here every month or so not frequent. This is what happened this visit. I like dogs but I don’t feel they belong in a restaurant and I think it is in Poor judgment of the establishment to allow customers to bring in animals. I know that they’re probably thinking the animal is no problem but some people just don’t care for the idea as I don’t. So this was the first BAD impression I got for my dining experience at Cinco de Mayo. My wife and I ordered chicken fajita meal for one that we were going to share along with queso cheese. We were surprised when the fajita came out almost instantaneously from when we ordered it, but we noticed that it didn’t sizzle, and there was no smell or fresh lime had been squeezed over it and it wasn’t very hot BAD impression number two. So hmmmmm!! we had requested few extra tortilla wraps to have with our meal. So, it didn’t seem like there was a whole lot in this meal, but we know that restaurants are cutting back on their portion sizes. The waiter was friendly and attentive. Cinco de Mayo atmosphere is good as expected of a restaurant/bar. Now we get the bill. The price fajita For one was $18. An extra $ 1.50 was added For the extra tortillas. Two iced teas and one small container of queso melted cheese. The bill came to.$33.00. With the tip it came to close to $40. Kind of pricey for what was in essence a one person meal. I know the tea cost us four dollars apiece but still pricing so for this reason, I’m giving Cinco de Mayo a C+. Not sure if I’ll go back 4 weeks from now. Cinco de Mayo es no...
Read moreSOOO DISAPPOINTED in Cinco tonight. We live right around the corner from them and frequently eat here. I won't be again after tonight. I have been able to forgive the cold beans and mostly cheese-less quesadillas. But tonight was just BAD. I called an order in for pick up and I had the order repeated back to me 2 times, just to make sure I got it all right. She repeated the order back perfect. When my husband picked up (yes, he should have checked b4 leaving but ultimately it's the job of the restaurant to get the order right...but they didn't. Everyone had their right order except for me. So I politely call them and arrange to get my correct food. Kinda annoying, but mistakes happen! So I get the new food and am starving at this point and I move the chile relleno from its container to a plate and see an MASSIVE short black hair. I just CANNOT. So I call the store and ask for a manager. Jennifer comes on the phone and I explained the issue. Clearly she thinks I'm lying or something because she DEMANDS that I come up there A THIRD TIME TO SHOW HER THE HAIR. I offered to send pictures and she refused, stating she needed to see the hair so she could call the health department. I called her out immediately due to being a restaurant owning family and knowing that's false. She then just became combative and I drove up a THIRD time. They "voided the charge and recharged me for what we ate" I will be monitoring my account and we won't be going back....
Read moreI ordered an Enchilada Supreme with Pico and French fries via DoorDash.
The fries were a soggy mess. We live 4 minutes from the restaurant. The Pico had a funny taste, and the Supreme was cold.
UNFORTUNATELY, for the first time in my 63 years, I became VIOLENTLY ill 30 minutes after eating. It was beyond gut-wrenching. I called the restaurant, and they said to call DoorDash. I spoke with DoorDash, and they offered sympathetic comments and a $5 credit off of a $28 bill. This was escalated to their Resolution team. I received no resolution. They told me to provide medical documentation regarding my vomiting. I spent the entire night in bed trying not to dry heave the balance of the evening. Needless to say, we will never utilize DoorDash services again. Nor will we visit this restaurant. My wife became ill after the last meal we had there about a month ago. The rest of our party didn't get sick. Now last night happened to me. Enough is enough for Cinco De Mayo. This was one of the most adverse reactions I have experienced with a restaurant. I am a prior District Manager of 7 restaurants and have been a quality evaluator for years with many major chains. DoorDash has to assume more responsibilities when servicing in this industry. Cinco De Mayo should be more concerned about their guests and not defer their responsibilities as the...
