Edgewood Sandwich Shop — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Absolutely recommend the Steak in a Sack, here. We’re from Arlington and they closed the Stans on Beach near our house where I was getting steak in a sack for twenty years!! Finding this Edgewood shop has made up for that massive disappointment. I’ll drive the extra 20 minutes to visit again, 100%!

Hotdogs were as to be expected, burger was a little less than thrilling, fries were fantastic and fresh(but order extra 😉) but all in all the food was great for the price.

I always call my order in, or my husband and I will come up here to eat. We love this sandwich shop!! Call ahead during lunch rush and when you arrive your food should be ready.. I love this place. The first time I went there I somehow dropped my debit card, even though I paid cash. In desperaton I stopped by while I was on the way to the bank, and sure enough, they found it and were hanging on to it in hopes the owner would return.
