Paxon Shopping Center — Local services in Jacksonville

This shopping center could be really nice. It's unfor that whoever owns it chooses to neglect it. It does look like they're trying to re-do the parking lot a little. That's super nice. So fewer potholes. This area of town is a mixture of industrial and residential. But all of the residents that I know that live around here are delightful people and I love all of them. It's the industry part of Edgewood avenue that has caused the neighborhood to take a downward turn. Hopefully the owners of these places will see the potential in this historical area of Jacksonville and begin to try to bring it back up. I see so much potential when I'm over here. These old houses from the 1950s and earlier are just the cutest little cottages with such character. And back in those days the carpenters put so much character into each and every property they worked on. I would give it a much higher rating except that something was wrapped up in Saran wrap, and when I got home and unwrapped it it had been glued in several places. I was heartbroken, it was something nostalgic from my childhood, yes I will go ahead and keep it, but it doesn't have the same value and they had a pretty high price on it, for something that happened glued in several places on the bottom. They do not need to be wrapping things up that have damaged where you can't see the damage when you're buying them. That's just not right. And they don't have dressing rooms, and I bought four dresses and none of them fit. So that's that. This was my first time back in years and I probably won't be...

Paxon Shopping Center used to be a great location to shop, but recently, it has become a bit rundown. The parking lot has too many potholes that never seem to be repaired. The parking lot also has a lot of trash. There is so much loitering in front of every store until it makes you not want to get out of your car. There is a lot of solicitation from different people while trying to go into the stores. The ATM there is a hit or miss on most days. There are some good stores in the plaza, but they are being overshadowed by the atmosphere around them. I hope it can be restored back to when it was nice,...
