UPDATED REVIEW: After my original review I was contacted immediately by corporate. They offered a sincere apology and said they would contact the location I visited to correct the problem. A week later I received a handwritten card in the mail from the CEO Nick Crouch again apologizing and informing me that they had contacted the Jacksonville team and coached them on how to properly handle situations like this in the future. Included in the card was a tropical smoothie cafe gift card. VERY HAPPY with the care management showed me and their eager willingness to fix the problem. Their care and integrity have made me a customer for life. :) Thank you!

---ORIGINAL REVIEW: The smoothies here are delicious! However, the staff at this Jville, AR location aren't accommodating to people with disabilities. My brother has grand mal seizures and it has put a strain on his vocal cords, so he can't talk above an indoor voice. I came into Tropical Smoothie Cafe with my disabled brother for smoothies on 11/23/2018 and the music was BLARING loud! We tried to sit down inside to eat and talk, but he couldn't talk loud enough for me to hear him. I kindly asked an employee to turn down the music a smidge and she refused. She said the music volume button is finicky and if they tried to turn it down then it could turn off and they would get in trouble, so they don't touch it. Why wouldn't they fix it then? A business should want a calming atmosphere for their customers above being able to hear radio noise. i order almost everything online and come get it. i’ve learned to always check my bag before i leave. i order a chipotle chicken club ON THE APP. using the app is asks about sides and your options are chips , banana, apple, or one of their sides like corn or what not. the rest are protein add ins and veggie add ins and there’s a section on the options that says dressing/sauces. i chose roasted tomato salsa. well i pick my food up and look in the bag and there’s so sauce (assuming the sauce was supposed to go on side) and there wasn’t any , this wouldn’t have been an issue if i wasnt charged for it. i sent my bf in and he came out and said they said they put it on my sandwich. well that’s great but i want to DIP my sandwich in something. i go back in there myself and tell them what happened. one of the ladies was telling me their ticket didn’t say on the side it said add. well awesome but i would still like my sauce on the side and i explained it to her. i wasn’t rude bc i work food service myself. she proceeded to just repeat that i should’ve ordered it on the side in the app (which it does not give me that option) after listening to her i said “so i can’t get it on the side?” and she says, and i quote, “i never said you can’t get it in the side, i’m telling you that if it does not say on the side then they will put the sauce on the sandwich.” like that’s great ma’am but i STILL want my sauce on the side. my point is , it could’ve saved everyone time and patience if all they did was give my bf the sauce the...

I normally don't do bad reviews but this calls for one. The service was great and the employees were nice. I went through the drive thru and I ordered a supergreen salad and kale apple slaw on the side. I ate some of the slaw as I started driving off...it tasted funny. I figured maybe my taste buds were off, however I went to take a second bite and looked down and noticed mold. No wonder it had a funny taste and the apples were brown. I immediately turned around and took it back and made them aware of the mold. They offered to replace the side...I got chips because at that point my trust is gone. Clearly they DO NOT make their food fresh nor do they do food inspections, other wise mold would not have been present and the apples would not have been brown!!! I kept the salad because I figured it would be fine. I ended up throwing the salad away because I was so disgusted and my stomach turning as I kept thinking about the molded kale apple slaw, so much that i didn't even trust the freshness or cleanliness of the salad so that was a waste of $11.47.
