Seven Wonders Restaurant & Bakery — Restaurant in Jacksonville

We came from Orlando and visited seven wonders. The food was not bad and price was not bad although the lambi was 35.00. The lambi tasted like it was cooked in a fish sauce . The lambi did not smell like lambi. But they did give a good amount of lambi and it was a good size. The saus pwa nwa was good . Also I had the fried fish and it did not have any flavor. But it was edible after I put my pikliz on there. The fried plantain was also not fresh but edible . So the place was ok and you don’t know who works there and too many people in and out of the kitchen . They ran out of a lot of food well before closing. The a/c in the restaurant was not blowing well. They also refused to make a fresh pate kode for a customer although he requested and they told him he had to buy the one that was already there. Coming from a city with a much larger variety of options, I would say that the food is decent at best. It seems like they had a decent sit-down area for dine-in, which is a plus. They were planning for an event, so maybe that had something to do with the quality. As far as customer service, they weren’t necessarily rude, but they also didn’t go out of their way to be welcoming. The onions and peppers on top of the Griot were not pickled, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, they didn’t greet me when I came in, so after a few minutes, I had to initiate my order.

If you’re in the area and hungry, I would recommend giving it a try; however, don’t expect it to be extraordinary. I give it 4 stars because I'm sure it's the best Haitian restaurant in the area.

This is the best experience that I have had in Jacksonville with this type of cuisine. I was sick the day I went, on medication. I wasn't able to cook myself a home cooked meal. I wish I would have taken a picture because they cook me a big fish with red, yellow and green peppers and onions baked in the oven. I don't know what kind of seasoning they used but it was so delicious and when I ate that meal it made me feel better than I had been feeling for the past couple of days. I appreciate them for being there with the home cooked meal. I will surely be back, the customer service was very wholesome and friendly.
