I’ve been here twice and had a bad experience both times. In the first experience, the food was very cold, this is a normal thing and can happen for any place. In the second experience, I ordered at the cash register with someone working there at 8pm, and one of the items on my order was a chicken sandwich for my friend. I specifically informed them that I wanted sandwich bread instead of lavash bread, because my friend was allergic to lavash bread. When my order was ready, we took it home. When we opened the bag, we were surprised to see that my order was the opposite of what I wanted. I called Istanbul Grill on the phone and informed them of the situation, but they constantly redirected me to someone else. The girl on the phone was trying to explain the situation to someone next to her, while incredibly loud laughing sounds were coming from the background, and the employees were trying to give the phone to someone else to explain the situation. All this conversation was going on in Turkish but had I spoken to them in English. I heard them cursing about me among themselves, thinking that I didn’t speak Turkish, but I can speak Turkish fluently. "It’s wrong... what should we do?.... f- off," the people on the phone said. Then one of the employees took the phone and said, "I didn’t take your order, I don’t know who bought it." That was a very weird answer in response to my situation. He said, "Come to the shop tomorrow and bring back your order." Despite this poor treatment by the staff at this restaurant, I never prolonged the issue and politely wished them a good night. I have been a regular visitor to Istanbul Grill and Bakery for quite some time, but unfortunately, my repeated experiences here have been consistently disappointing when it comes to customer service. One major issue I have noticed every single time is their complete disregard for serving customers in the order they arrive.

Even if you are the first to arrive, they often begin taking orders from customers who come in well after you. On my most recent visit, I was the very first customer in the restaurant. After me, four different parties arrived. The staff proceeded to take orders from every single table except mine, despite the fact that I was clearly waiting.

What makes this worse is that they usually do not take orders at the counter—if you approach the counter, they simply ask you to sit down. On this occasion, I politely reminded them multiple times that I had been waiting a long time, yet they continued to bypass my table and take orders from others. This kind of treatment cannot simply be brushed off as an occasional oversight—especially when it happens on almost every visit.

The service team (wait staff) here appear to be highly unorganized and inattentive to customer order sequence, which reflects poorly on the overall professionalism of the restaurant. While the food itself is good, the lack of basic courtesy and proper service standards leaves a very negative impression.
