I really must admit that we initially loved Jeremiah's Italian Ice. At one point we could go here 4-5 times per week. Then things started taking a serious downward trend over the past several months. This seemed to correlate with a new manager being assigned to this location. We immediately noticed that we would have to ask for napkins, that an off odor was notable inside and on one occasion they walked our orders into the back room for each Italian ice flavor, something which had never happened before and took so much longer to prepare our orders.
Our last visit was on October 25, 2019 around 1:00 pm. These were the issues that corporate doesn't care to hear: 1) When we sampled items the employee, not wearing any gloves, simply put the paper cups into the Italian ice and scooped samples directly. When the sample cups were presented to us, they were half covered with Italian ice on the outside and the employees fingers were touching. Even with this mess, there were no napkins available at the window and none offered. 2) We really enjoy having 2 Italian ice flavors alternating in the cups so we get a little variety. When we first ordered, this is the way it was always done, but it does take more effort and we would have to ask to make sure this was done. No problem until the new manager and on this visit the employee completely ignored this request even though we asked numerous times, including after the first item was prepared incorrectly and we asked that the remaining item be done correctly. Still nothing. 3) When it became time to pay, I had a 25% off one item coupon in my rewards app, as well as a free medium item earned from past purchases. I asked the employee if we could use both and she said yes, and quite frankly I was shocked when she took the first coupon and then told me she couldn't take the second since I had just asked her about this. Unfortunately, I gave her the coupon I would have saved for later since the 25% off coupon expired sooner. I mentioned this to her and she didn't even respond. 4) Finally, I presented the app for her to scan for loyalty points and she refused to scan it insisting that the points are added automatically when a promo code it redeemed. I know that this is not the case from past experience and told her, but she said it would be automatically applied. Of course, being clearly either poorly trained or simply not caring, the points did not apply, but when I scanned the receipt myself they applied right away.
I did reach out to Jeremiah's through their Facebook page and sent a message asking to speak with someone. 5 days later they responded that I should send another message to an e-mail address. I asked if I could speak with someone as I did not want for this to carry on for a week more or longer and they said they was no phone number to call. I did a Google search and found their corporate number myself and called. I was forced into a voicemail box and did leave a voicemail for someone at their corporate office to call me back. At the time of writing this review, I have not heard back from anyone at Jeremiah's corporate office regarding this issue.
We will not return to this location until we are assured the issues have been addressed and receive an invitation back from their...
Read moreI just want to say I love Jeremiah's. I literally go ALL the time and never really have a issue that'll keep me from coming back. However, tonight is a different story. My husband and I ordered 1/2 gallon (like we always do) so we won't keep coming every day and we'll get about 5 flavors depending on what they have. Well tonight we were told we were limited to 4 flavors. I was baffled because this wasn't what we we're told before, but today is my birthday so I brushed it off. It was time for us to check out, now my husband is in the Navy and Jeremiah's has a 10% millitary discount that we all use. Well the young proceeded to tell us because we bought the 1/2 gallon that she couldn't do that millitary discount. I was really confused because 1 we always get the same thing and they give the millitary discount (we always have id) and 2 no were on any signs is it posted that millitary discount only applies to certain menu items. When I asked to speak to who ever was in charge she had a attitude and proceeded to tell me that's just the way it was. Like I 3I love Jeremiah's and go often, but after tonight I don't know if I'll continue. I know its just me and losing my business might not matter, but if you're going to offer a discount it needs clearly state what the discount is for and the employee need to be better trained on company policy. It's not right for one employee to give it and...
Read moreI visited Jeremiah's on San Jose Blvd on 8/7/2025 around 5:30 pm with the intent of leaving with an Italian ice in hand. I waited as the Jeremiah team member gave the family of four in front of me their order. Once they all received their items, I thought "great, now it's my turn." Well, that didn't happen. One of the young ladies (in the family in front of me) appeared to know the Jeremiah team member as they were engaged in a conversation that continued after their order was received. I continued to wait, thinking surely someone is going to end this conversation or move it to another window, but no. The mother (my guess) even told her daughter (I'm guessing the relationship), "someone's waiting in line" to which the daughter replied, "yeah, I know" as she and the team member continued their conversation. I understand wanting to communicate with a friend that happens to come to your place of employment, but the team member should have told her friend to step aside so she could assist the customer and then they could finish their urgent conversation. I departed without making a purchase as I determined that conversation was the priority and I grew tired of waiting. I'm a big fan of Jeremiah's, but I'm very disappointed in how I was treated as a customer today....
