Loco Mex Authentic Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Menu items are very bland. In the simplest term, they are horrible. Chili Reno had no chili, hamburger meat in burrito is not seasoned. So why 3 stars? They have authentic mexican chefs. Strongly recommend ordering other than menu. I simply ask for something authentic mexican and give free rein. I've had five different and spectacular dishes, clearly THE best mexican quisine in the area. Chili quiles is phenomenal. Lately, other table guests disappointed with menu items tried my dish and said that they would come back and only order off the menu. So 1-star menu items, but 5-star non-menu yields 3 stars. Saturday live music, Thursday karaoke, with an excellent bar, and you have a hopping joint. Prices are reasonable for mexican restaurants...

Has a food challenge. The chef overloads the challenge despite it saying it's 6lbs. Completely lied to the gentlemen I watched on video taking the challenge because he "knew who he was."

If someone's very smart you don't give them a harder test than the next guy for the same cost. Its called fair treatment, and this place does it WRONG.

I don't trust someone who tries to cheat people for no reason. Slimy resteraunt and chef. Don't support this resteraunt unless they want to provide a transparent explanation for their foul play.

I placed a to go order at 3:28pm and was told it would be 15-20 minutes until it was ready. I arrived and waited in the lobby for over 20 minutes. I finally got the food and checked for everything in the car. I was missing the Xango so I went back inside. Waited for 5 more minutes to be told they were out of it and I’d be refunded. Then was showed it was never on my receipt to begin with. I would have ordered a different desert if I was told. Finally left at 4:20. Almost an hour of waiting. $50+ worth of food.
