Our first time trying the Tulip Cafe was last night for dessert. From the moment, we walked inside the cafe, I was in pastry heaven. The atmosphere made me want to sit there and hang out but we got ours to go. The two young ladies at the counter were so welcoming and helpful. My mouth watered for a taste of all the pastries but I had self control and chose the chocolate pastry and my husband got a blueberry; when I tell you it was a taste of heaven believe me. The Tulip Cafe was so impressive, I invited two of my close friends for coffee, pastries, and sandwiches the very next day for some girl time. The Caprese Pesto sandwhich was delicious and for dessert we had different pastries with a cold latte. Again, like a taste of heaven! The pastries and sandwiches don’t just look good but they TASTE even better. Everything is made fresh and it tastes like it too. Instead of having to go out of town for an authentic cafe experience, we now have it in our little college town. I can picture having quiet time here or meeting friends while enjoying a coffee or a light snack. My friends and I met the owners, and they were so friendly and full of gratitude. I look toward to having this cafe locally and utilizing it...
Read moreI've seen a lot of the reviews at this store and just had to take the time to state my own experience. The whole set up is so cute and an overall nice environment. The coffee is the BEEST coffee I've ever had and all the employees were wonderful. They were attentive, kind at the register, and clearly cared about the experience I had. I have consistently been to this shop since its a good place to sit and study, and every time I have been it has been a wonderful experience. I think a place like this is so great for Jacksonville, to get people to the city, bring newer businesses that may not have thought Jacksonville was an expanding place to open up at. I personally root entirely for this shop and hope it stays in the square for...
Read moreWe came at 11 ish on a slow rainy Tuesday. The shop was nearly empty but there were dirty dishes on multiple tables. The staff did greet us when we walked in but other than that very inattentive. The food was alright, my girlfriend ordered the bubble waffle which she said was good, I ordered the fish waffle with biscoff, Nutella, and strawberry. The fish waffle came with no biscoff, very little strawberries, and barely any Nutella. The fish cakes I ordered were very small portions for a price that was not cheap, the maybe tablespoon of strawberries I got was 3 dollars while the biscoff (that I had to go to the counter to get corrected) was 2 dollars. The original price along with the up charge was outrageous...
