Mr Flounder Fish Chicken Shrimp — Restaurant in Jacksonville

My 1st time here and used coupon on back of grocery receipt. I had the 30 piece fried shrimp w/fries. Lots of food items to choose from and $ comparatively. The food smelled good cooking and when I got it in my car. Looks delicious and it tasted delicious. I was offered a piece of key lime cake being my 1st time there. I immediately sent my daughter the menu who says she will visit soon w/star eyed emoji. I will be back as well to try some of the other items, like the wings, fish or crab legs!! I like it's in the neighborhood too. The wait for them to cook the food was not too long either. The shrimp were tasty/flavorful. I think they'll be around a while!! I'd like to say the staff was very pleasant. Made me laugh at the speaker. Very nice.

8/26/22 Job gave $$ for Lunch/Mtg. I ordered from here via GrubHub. I had been wanting to try the crab cakes/fries. Seen before on fries comment of needing to be left in longer. This order I agree, almost choked trying to get it down... See pic of crab cakes, I feel this is a crab patty w/all the fried batter on it. It's not bad on the inside, but whatever its mixed w/crab takes over the taste of crab and I expected more flaky as a 'cake'. Also gotta wear your compression socks = slightly too much sodium. I also got the shrimp/wings (Lemon Pepper) w/fries. Shrimp be so BIG, get your water ready = slight sodium issue but good none the less. Wings were good, just shake off that extra lemon pepper. You know how we do...put some hot sauce on that! All in all, I will be back; It's good and the price is right! I'm gonna get to the crabs and fix'ins soon. I've always been very weary of any drive-thru seafood places so I would never try them. Well never say never. I tried Mr. Flounder today. I was very impressed. I was impressed by the price. The portions size. And the personality of the guy working there. I can understand the apathy you get from McDonald's workers - they know they're slanging garbage. Chick-fil-A kinda pretends to be friendly and i appreciate it. But this dude actually made me feel welcome ...while in a drive thru Incredible. My food was delicious. Ordered the pick 3 seafood combo with fish, shrimp, and scallops for like 18 bucks plus tax. The seasoning he sprinkled on took it up a notch. It easily could have fed me and my wife but it's her time of the month so I got to enjoy it all because her tummy was hurting. Her loss. Definitely coming back here a second time...and a...

I was craving seafood today and instead of going to my go to place for seafood this place caught my eye just passing by one day. I decided on a family platter of fish shrimp and fried oysters so i could “share” if I didn’t like it lol. To my surprise the food was pretty good! I think they put a sprinkling of garlic salt on everything that actually makes everything tasty! I also ordered hush puppies and onion rings. The hush puppies were perfect little bites goodness. The only thing I kind of didn’t care for was the onion rings though it was good it was only onion flavored dough ( i guess?) I was hoping for real onions in the ring and it got a little soggy when I got home I ate a few before having to give it away (sorry). All in all I approve and will...
