The New Neighborhood Tavern — Restaurant in Jacksonville

I was visiting the area and decided to stop in today. I've been to some divey bars throughout Florida but not many positives from this one. When I first walked in, the stench of cigarette smoke permeated through my mask it was so pungent. The bartender carded me which was good but seemed out of it, she was slurring her words. I ordered one beer because my first impressions were I wasn't staying long. Bring cash, they don't accept any plastic so I had to endure a 3.00 charge to use the standalone ATM. I got the beer and went out back where they have picnic table and almost stepped in piles of dog feces. I drank the beer quickly then went back in and the bartender is holding a dog, guess its someone's dog that works there. I hit the door n left. Outside two dudes in a car are rolling a joint and one of the bar patrons had some beers he was bringing inside the establishment from his car, he was wasted. Not really sure how this place has a 4.4 star rating but 8 gave it one star because the beer was cold, that's the only silver...

Immediate warm getting from the Security, Psycho. Very friendly atmosphere! Couple patrons approached within 10 minutes and struck up conversation. DJ is great, kept the rythym following and had you dancing on your best stool. I'll return.
