I love Sharks... they are one of my fav spots with R&R on beaver street being the other.... I use to go to a seafood place on Lanes Ave by London Town Apartments, I was going there for years but I stopped going because their shrimp always seemed to be spoiled. It seemed ok sitting in the their fridge but soon as you heated them up it smelled like a dead body, I thought it was just a bad batch but every time i went there either me or someone in my family noticed the same thing, and your talking about somebody who eats crabs & shrimp 3 x's a week.... the problem was they didn't rotate the food and that's a big big no-no!!! you have to rotate older trays to the front and fresh trays to the back to ensure the food does not get mixed up, yes seafood has an expiration date, never eat cooked crabs, shrimp, fish beyond 3 days, if it has garlic on it don't exceed 2 days, the food poison will feel like death!!!!.....( back to the original point) tehehe :) ........ I stopped going there and had to find another joint and fast... although R&R was my fav spot I didnt want to always ride there so after many failed attempts at trying every garlic crab shack on the westside I found sharks.... Now there might be many who read this post may not think or believe me when I say i went to every crab spot, ordered their best garlic tray and determined if they would pass the test.... A garlic tray is much more than crabs on a tray with butter and seasoning salt.... so nonetheless it was sharks's not JC's... sorry (no shade) so if you want friendly service, I love alex, chino and the gang, and fresh food for a reasonable price then stop by, they have live crabs, garlic trays, garlic shrimp, fresh shrimp, crawfish, fresh fixings corn, eggs, potatoes, sausage, crab cakes, my favorite is the jumbo garlic shrimp tray, with corn, egg, and potatoes, it has about 17-19 shrimp, and they are so big you have to bite them 2 1/2 times to put it n your mouth, always fresh and seasoned perfectly and if you like spice just ask.... and last but not least is that they also serve hot dinners, like wings, fish and shrimp and you can mix match with your choice of two sides.....I have been going to shark's for...
Read moreI went in about 2 months and got a medium crab tray. When I got home, I microwaved it and started to eat. The crabs tasted "funny". I didn't know if it was me or the crabs. I had my nephew check them, because he loves crabs, and initially he said they tasted fine. So I gave them to him. He told me the next day, that even with his homemade sauces, he began to taste what I tasted, so he them them out. I told him I would never go there again because they served me bad crabs. He opted to give them another go. He got some last week, and lo and behold, he was sick later that night. He had diarrhea for 2 days. I remember when the guy got my crabs, he went in the back to get them instead of grabbing a tray from behind the counter. I have no idea what they are doing their, but I advise others to...
Read moreThe food is always good and the prices are great as well. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because since they moved locations, their customer service has gone down a little. They used to have a couple guys who knew the faces of their regular customers, but now it seems like every time I go in there is someone new working. Most of the time I just get crab trays and the sides, but on occasion I like to order some of the fried food. The last 3 times I've tried to order it though, either the fryers weren't working or it was an hour before closing and they already turned...
