I’ve been to this establishment a over 40 times. The food is really great. The prices are affordable. I haven’t really had any issues with the food service Usually I have a really good time there. But, a few days ago I went there and I went through the drive-through. And I was ignored for almost 10-15 minutes. I didn’t say anything at first. I was just gonna wait. But the people who are in the back made eye contact with me three times. They didn’t even signal to be like oh I’ll be with you or sorry were busy. Then I was like oh well maybe they stop using a drive-through at a certain time. The website didn’t say anything about them closing their drive-through. It wasn’t until my Lyft driver got agitated and knocked on the window. That they decided to walk over and say oh are you here to order?
During the time they cut me off twice. When I was trying to tell them what I wannted & when I asked for extra Boba pearls. She was like do you mean tapioca pearls. It was just really passive aggressive and I really didn’t appreciate the fact that not only was I not acknowledged or asked to come to the front because they were busy. But also some thing as minor as whether I called them tapioca, boba or cassava pearls.
I really do love this place. I understand that it is a very stressful time. And they may have been busy. But, the entire interaction really made me...
Read moreReally nice ambiance and a great little place to eat away from the hustle and bustle of all the Western Blvd. restaurants. Our server was really nice and very helpful when my husband and I dined in. My husband had the Seafood Stir Fry and I had the combination strips of steak with meatball and rice noodle soup. I got the medium-sized bowl and it was much bigger than I expected. I also like that they give you a sprig of fresh Thai Basil to garnish your food with. The spring rolls I ordered did come out later after I asked the server about them and were not quite what I was expecting. I won't ever order those again. The gummy texture of the wrapper just wasn't my thing. The Thai tea was good. Tapioca was mistakenly added to mine and my husband's Thai teas, and I saw on the receipt we were both charged 50 cents extra for each tea for the addition of it. I will definitely make sure on the next visit when I order Thai tea that they don't add Tapioca to mine though because I did not like being charged for it and did not care for the taste of it. I saw they do have a very extensive list of milk drinks with lots of unique flavors and other teas I would like to try. Other than the spring rolls, the food here was excellent though. The hubs and I will definitely be making...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars, I would. I’ve eaten pho at dozens of restaurants all over the country and this was, hands down, the worst pho I’ve ever had (including dozens of homemade recipes I’ve tried). It was about as flavorful as cardboard, even after adding hoisin and chili paste. The noodles were severely over cooked and mushy, the meat was gristly and over cooked, and this was the first time in my life I haven’t finished a bowl of pho. I left about half of it, it was so bland it was inedible. Someone had mentioned in another review that come evening, they water it down but during the day it’s delicious. My dining partner had a bahn min , which was decent but almost too spicy to eat (they’re supposed to be more savory than spicy, I’ve eaten many of them as well), the spring rolls were stale with old cilantro and chewy pork, and even if the food is supposedly better during the day (however, any worthwhile restaurant should be consistent…) this experience was so bad I will not be back for a second chance. The service was also grossly unprofessional and inefficient. There are MUCH better options right here in jville, do not waste your time...
