I literally sat in line at the drive through today, Sunday, June 28 from 5pm-5:20pm before I reached the menu board. There were 4 cars that has pulles up and were waiting at the window in front of me, so I had good reason to suspect they had placed their order. There was a piece of paper taped to the menu board by 4 pieces of what looked liked address labels, 1 piece per corner. The top 2 pieces were no longer adhered to the sign and of course it was out of reach as the menu boards are not designed to be touched by guests from inside their vehicles. I waited for 5 mins and no one came on to take my order. I exited my vehicle so I could read the sign. It stated, "Our system is down.". What system? The drive through speaker? The credit card machines? It could be almost anything. Since there were cars in front of me that appeared to be waiting for their orders, I looked up the store number to try and ask what was down. After several dozen attempts that we're all busy, my call finally rang through and was answered, "Hello.". I asked if this was Popeyes and when the lady responded affirmatively, I asked her is she could clarify the sign. She said everything was down. The speaker was not working, the registers were not working. They were not able to take orders or serve any customers. I asked if there was going to be anyone telling customers, since there were care in front of me and behind me and I had no way of exiting. She said there was a sign. I asked her how I was to get out of the drive through and asked if the police needed to be called. She said they would send someone out. Fine. A couple minutes later, one of the cars in front of me backed up and was able to escape through an area I thought was blocked off. I then followed that vehicle, having to drive through a huge pothole of festering, spoiled and rotten water, which became apparent by the horrible order that stuck to my car and wouldn't come off. I had to go through a car wash to get it off and it was that bad. I am shocked at the lack of professionalism the team working showed toward customers. I will never be back to this location again and that too bad since my employer is directly across the street and my mother-in-law resides in a facility just past Walgreens on Beach. Shame on you Popeyes. You've always struggled with staffing and customer service, but this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYou know I always say that people should be given a second chance. That everyone has a bad day, a bad moment, a bad second, and just maybe it would be fair to give them a do-over. However I frequent this place, mostly not for me but bringing someone else here.
During the pandemic I don't eat out at all. However I have some friends who do. I have picked up from this place recently twice. I have taken two people to this place recently also, the last time being today and this was just after they opened so we were probably the first or second customer they had.
Initially I thought everything was going to be okay, however, when the person with me requested a change from water to something else, the young person then got an attitude and start huffing and talking under her breath. And I do admit that I try to tell my friend that they had other options. but it was early and at that moment I guess she wasn't listening. But still we're your customer, what's with the attitude at 10:30 in the morning.
But the most distressing thing about this place. It's not just the attitude, but the overall atmosphere even before the pandemic, I would go to this place, it's like there's mostly teenagers and very young unprofessional people at this store. You can hear them on the speaker laughing and joking and playing around. Because of the playing, they move so slow you could almost go back home and cook the meal yourself and come back before they get your order ready. And I truly am not being unfair, because it's been a long period of time on different days and times. Everyone deserves a second chance. But this place is consistently the same at least for the last two years. And I'm being nice there.
They need a mixture in staff, in general(since I am sure I have not been in touch with every staff member there) a mature , strong professional person to lead, but they also need among the staff other mature professionals. Even if I were to start eating at restaurants again, I wouldn't eat here, I'm not confident in the atmosphere that they've created there. I would hope they would keep their professionalism but they act like out of control high...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNot sure where to begin, but itās one thing to be informative and an entirely different thing to be disrespectful. Firstly, my daughter is visiting from out of town and wanted Popeyes so we went to this location through the drive through. We are a family of 5 so I placed an order for 5 combos, but the woman kept cutting me off and talking over me. When I reached the window there was a another girl who immediately started telling me and I quote ā You canāt be ordering all this stuff in the drive through, you messing up our timeā she started pulling the screen and pointing at it talking about, see the seconds? donāt ever order this much in the drive through, you need to come inā In all my years I have NEVER heard anything like this because they were mostly the same things ( 3 boneless wings & 2 tenders) but note taken and I decided to overlook her rant and paid for my Order. Thatās when she became irate and literally foaming at the mouth telling me to pull up and that now I was going to have to wait, snatches my card and kept slamming the window in my face. Meanwhile, all of my children are sitting in the car watching her bizzare behavior. This was my breaking point and I politely told her to just refund my order. I went right down the street to the Atlantic blvd location and had no issues at all. Not sure if she was on drugs or just ignorant but I definitely reported it to corporate. Respect goes a long way and this type of behavior is unacceptable. Also, there was noone in the line before or after me and now I know why. Popeyes, if you are wondering why this location is losing business, itās time to take...
