I’ve loved visiting Posting House ever since they opened years ago. When I found out they were hosting a Galentine’s Event here a week prior, I was so elated! Last nights event with the dj, free charms for your wine glass, gusti samples to try, cute photo op areas, etc was so fun! Posting House had a giveaway on their instagram page, and they announced the winners last night while all of us were here. Their social media girl is incredibly nice and kept circling about offering to take photos of everyone.
I think the only thing our group was slightly bummed about was the fact that we were told no food would be served or could be ordered, and then we kept seeing charcuterie boards being delivered to other patrons. But that is okay. We had 2-3 glasses of wine here, and ate at a nearby place , continuing to support local in the San Marco area : )
All of us had an amazing time. The photographer who helped promote this Galentine’s day event did a very good job, we all came out to support her and posting house, connect with eachother; it was a successful night!
Will be back another time to enjoy...
Read moreGo see Masha, she is your girl! She is very knowledgeable about wines, consistently checks in to make sure you’re not waiting on your glass, had a great music playlist, and most importantly, someone fantastic to talk to. As a single woman, it’s very important for me to feel comfortable/safe at bar and be able to interact and have conversation with the bartenders. Masha immediately said hello to me when I walked in the door and started a conversation which put me right at ease. The only thing I was a little put off and disappointed in was the male bartender who was about to leave interrupting our conversation to mansplain to her how to cut and weigh cheese and how to date the wine bottles (which her way is correct by the way). I felt it was very rude to me as a paying customer and thought about leaving (did I mention I was also the only patron in there at the time). I also tried having conversations with him multiple times before he left and he was not interested. Masha turned my mood right back around though when he left and I ended staying longer because of her. Masha earned Posting...
Read moreI really want a place like this to succeed as the concept is great ... A nice intimate/small place to get a glass of wine or beer. We enjoyed the wine and atmosphere and they have a decent assortment to chose from. The bartender was nice and attentive. HOWEVER they really miss the mark when it comes to overall experience if you are also wanting some cheese or meat pairing while enjoying your wine. I am not looking for a meal but something to nibble on while sipping.
My girlfriend and I each had 2 glasses of wine and the charcuterie board, and spent around $100 (which is fine). The board was basically DELI Turkey and Ham. The cheese was average at best. Crackers/Bread we could not even consume as it was stale. They give you the cheapest plasticware you would find in a gas station (not kidding) and the plastic knife was too weak to even cut the cheese. The dipping sauces were generic ... It was probably the worst charcuterie board I can remember.
Please up your game ... as we would love...
