Used to go to Rita's in Wilmington as a little kid, and I'm happy to say that it's still a great place to go, even the one in jacksonville! The line was sectioned off according to covid-19 standards, the wait time was very little, and they let you try free samples still even though it's a pandemic, however most people stand back as they take the samples, even though they usually use gloves and masks and they place it on the counter and allow you to grab it. I always make sure to give them a tip, because they make really good gelotti's, and their custard is really rich! It's not even as expensive as it used to be anymore as well. We’ve been coming since the summer and we’ve been hooked since. Husband and I can’t go a week without Rita’s, the owners are the sweetest people ever! always so kind and patient, never in a rush to serve you and they take their time to serve everyone. They are always happy to serve their guests, their store is always so clean and well kept!!! And the custard and ice always delicious. It always hits the spot, you get so much for your money.
