I come here for three reasons; Bath and Body Works, Tony's Pizza or Barnes and Noble. I'm just going to do a dedicated review for each of those places on their own page. My biggest problem with this place is the parking lot; I absolutely hate it. The spaces are way too small, and it's almost always way too full. Every single space is marked "compact," and they are not kidding. Even my little Honda has to squeeze in when I finally find an open spot. Sometimes I get lucky, and there are little oases of open spaces way over by the IHOP, and I can park comfortably there, and just hike over to the B&N entrance from there. If you have a big truck or even a midsize SUV, good luck finding a decent spot anywhere else. There is more parking in the back, but I think the only entrance on the back is into JC Penney, and I would describe the layout there as a claustrophobic maze from Hell. The inside of the mall is easy to navigate. There is only one main corridor with all the shops on either side, and huckster stands throughout creating a sort of two lane walkway. People are actually pretty good about walking on the correct side as if they were driving too, but there are always a few that don't, and cause me very slight irritation. There's not really a big variety of stores; mostly clothes and jewelry. They do have a GameStop, but it's tiny and usually crowded, so I prefer the other ones in town. The whole place has a really weird smell due to all the food court smells mixing together. It's not really pleasant, but far from terrible. There is a fairly decent selection of food; Chinese, Pizza, Chick-fil-A, Giant Cookie Place, Big Pretzels and Lemonade Place, Red Robin if you're rich, and Moe's. There's also a Starbucks and IHOP on the opposite side of the parking lot. The lighting in the mall makes the whole place look kind of dingy and blah. Most of the vendors have well lit stores though, so it kind of feels like emerging from a desolate wasteland whenever you go inside the shops, so I don't mind the bleakness too much. If they had more plants, it'd be like exploring a jungle, so they should definitely get more of those. There's a wishing fountain that most little kids really like in the center of the mall, and a couple rest zones with benches on either end of the main corridor. Those would be a good place for more plants. The mall staff aren't particularly friendly in my experience. They have a certain aura of frustration and despair about them, so I'm guessing working there isn't the best job to have. Just to be clear again, I'm talking about the actual mall staff, not the employees of the individual vendors. The restrooms are down a really creepy narrow hallway. It's lit much better than the rest of the mall, and they have a family room you can go to breastfeed your baby in private if you want. The actual restrooms, or at least the men's room, are much cleaner than you might expect given the rest of the Mall's appearance. With as many people using them, they do a really good job of annihilating any ick factors quickly. There are also plenty of stalls and urinals available, so even on really busy days, I've never had to wait in line to use one. Despite those nice features, the hallway leading to the bathrooms reminds me of a dark alley someone might be waiting down to grab a person and drag them into a hidey-hole for nefarious purposes. Overall, I try to avoid coming here. It's too crowded, and too much of a hassle parking and escaping the parking lot after my business is finished; however, it is the only place in town I can find deodorant I'm not horribly allergic to, and has the only bookstore I know of in...
Read moreWent to Hot Topic, very racist. My daughter wanted to purchase anime items for her birthday. Store was full of Caucasian shoppers only who antagonized the store clerks by swiftly waving merchandise by the front door sensors to set off the anti-theft alarm (in plain sight of staff who said nothing to them).
My 12 year old African-American daughter saved all of her birthday money to purchase the items in her hands with excitement while I stood by the door. When I asked her if she was ready at 8:25 p.m. since the mall closes at 9, but she wanted to go and grab the Disney's Stitch cup by the door. When she approached the cups, the Caucasian clerk heard the sensor and raced near the door, stating, "Can you please get from by the door with merchandise?" as if mine was about to make a break for it and steal! Seeing the clerk's disdain and hearing her tone let me know exactly what was happening. I told my daughter I was going to stand outside after I had already addressed the clerk stating "she came over here to grab the cup that y'all placed at the door!"
I didn't want to ruin my child's birthday week since that was her heart's desire to spend her money there. I hated that she gave such a poorly ran store her birthday money. They should be ashamed of themselves for showing their hatred to a child of color.
PSA ANNOUNCEMENT: People of color, they don't want us there, so don't give them your money. Management was there, and no one...

Security is a complete joke. Their job description is to observe and report. The patrol area is the inside of the mall, and they are not supposed to go into stores unless called. If they follow you inside the store for whatever reason, it is stalking and harassment and you can sue them for 10k. The security supervisor does nothing but play on his phone all day. The job description of the security officers and the Allied Universal contract ensures that none of the officers are allowed to put hands on someone unless it is in self-defense.
The housekeeping staff are lazy and do not keep the mall or the bathrooms clean. The bathrooms are filty on any given day at any given time. There are a couple of good housekeepers, but overall, they are lazy, and the mall as a whole is disgusting.
The manager of Preit is equally lazy, and as long as she gets her monthly rent checks, she doesn't care what goes on. The roof should have been redone long ago but leaks frequently. One of the outside doors had been broken fornover 10yrs and only recently got fixed. She justifies not doing...
