So I’m not from this area and I’ve been exploring the area and came across this place. I figured why not try something new, I ordered the bang bang shrimp meal for take out I asked if I can swap out the yuca fries for tostones instead cause I’m not a fan of yuca. The guy over the phone said they can’t do that and said I can have it as a side order so I was like ok that’s fine. The presentation when I opened up the box that my food was put in looked very nice, very appetizing and appealing but as soon as I took a bite into the shrimp, the shrimp tasted extremely fishy. Not sure if that’s what it supposed to taste like, but I’ve had bang bang shrimp before in other places, and it never tasted Fishy. Read moreWe were in Jacksonville for the weekend and we’re looking for a good place for dinner near our place. We found Sabor and decided to give it a try. We were blown away by how good the food is here. We got their ‘Carne Asada’ the steak was cooked perfectly and so flavorful. It came with tostones, rice, and beans. All we’re delicious! We also tried their ‘Aji Aramrillo’ it was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. You can tell the people who work here are passionate about their food and want to put out the best product. Don’t let the outside fool you, it’s definitely worth a visit. The staff was so friendly, they could use a little bit more training, but other than that everything was perfect! The inside is simply decorated, with ample seating for customers. I couldn’t recommend this place...
