Went there last night, 2/17 and was very disappointed. First, their rolls came out cold. They appeared to be hot or at least warm because the butter was melted on top, but after biting into them, they were cold. After complaining about them, the server brought out a new batch of rolls and they were warm, but still just not good. A higher end Italian place like Sienas should provide some sort of crusty bread, not a no-frills dinner roll. The place was slow and the waitress was very intrusive. When three of the four of us were actively looking at our menus, she asked us two times if we were ready to order. Obviously we were not if three people have their menus held up and are looking at them. Then one of the entrees came out at room temperature (stuffed shells). The waitress started arguing that all four entrees are made at the same time and so there was no way that one could not have been hot. Finally, when two of us were still eating the waitress asked if we wanted dessert. We had food in our mouths and were chewing and are being asked about dessert. Very disappointing. I'm trying Catullos on Atlantic next time I'm in the mood...
Read moreWe went to Sienas this past Thursday to celebrate my birthday. It wasn't packed but there was a good amount of people. It was nice though. Lights were a little dim - gives you the "oooo I wanna have a nice glass of wine" or something vibe.
My husband had the chicken strambo - something. Lol (yeah, haha. I can't remember what it was) honestly, I'd never heard of it. I had the Chicken Marsala which was different from the versions I've had. Both were okay, not something I would get again. My MIL brings home Chicken Alfredo leftovers she gets from them sometimes. I wish I had just gone with that but figured ah, if it was that killer then try the Marsala. Oh well! Try the Chicken Alfredo :)
Customer service was great, food came pretty fast. The rolls they give are pretty good too. Would I recommend? You choose! Everyone has different tastes but that damn Marsala wasn't it for me. Lol
BTW. If your thinking of trying this place and your on a budget...Groupon is currently running a $15.00 for $30 worth of food here. Must eat...
Read moreThis was our first visit to Siena's. It was a good choice. The food was very good. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the service was also very good.
This appears to be exactly what it is: a small, family-owned Italian restaurant. The interior was neat and clean, and the menu was extensive.
The garlic rolls that were brought to start the meal were fresh and loaded with garlic. I could have made a meal out of a bottle of wine and these rolls!
There was a choice of numerous pasta dishes. I opted for marinara sauce with meatballs and pasta. The flavor was excellent. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the meatballs were large and tasted good.
My dining companion opted for a pizza. It was large enough for two people and we took about half of it home and finished it the next day.
There is also a good wine list. As one would expect, the options for wine by the glass are limited with a small restaurant but it was still adequate for the occasion!
The meals were reasonably priced. We intend to dine here again when in...
