We had been looking forward to visiting this restaurant for a long time. The pictures and reviews looked great, and the atmosphere and décor did not disappoint—it was beautiful and welcoming. Unfortunately, the overall experience was not what we had hoped for. The food itself was just okay. We’ve dined at several places in a similar price range, and in comparison, the dishes here were average at best. The service was also underwhelming. We waited about 30 minutes for our drinks, which felt too long, even on a busy evening. One of our guests simply asked for lemon with a water, and despite reminding the waitress multiple times, it was forgotten. At some point, we gave up asking. We also needed salt, but couldn’t find our waitress to request it. Surprisingly, it was the chef who noticed us raising a hand and came over to bring salt himself. Overall, while the restaurant has a nice atmosphere and lovely decoration, the food was nothing special and the service left us disappointed. The long waits and forgotten requests put a damper on the night. Sadly, we would not return for another evening out.

Free valet parking which was great because there were no street spaces available. Grace, our waitress, was helpful on the menu, attentive to keeping our drinks filled, and overall provided a great experience. The owner/head chef greeted us and asked about the meal which is always great. Food: complimentary bread was great, although we felt the amount of olive oil for two small pieces of break was excessive. For entrees I had the Jambalaya which was good but nothing out of this world. Our other entree was the chicken Parmesan which was the best we’ve ever had in the US or Italy. Chicken perfectly cooked with a flaky but light crust. The truffle fries were the only side we got and although they are good, they would be more appropriately called truffle wedges. I would not have ordered them had I known they were potato wedges. We also had the lemon cake. It had an excellent presentation but flavor/texture wise was nothing outstanding. Overall a solid experience. We will definitely return and try some different dishes.

This past Sunday, my new husband and I had a small, intimate micro-wedding. After our marriage license was notarized, we headed to Sofi’s Mediterranean Restaurant in San Marco to celebrate our special occasion. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and exuded a stylish vibe. We were promptly seated, and our server, Jen, greeted us warmly and efficiently took our drink orders. The bar looked chic, and it was entertaining to watch the bartender expertly mix and create our drinks. I opted for the limoncello margarita with a rim of Tajín, which was absolutely delicious. The entire staff was incredibly kind and went above and beyond to ensure our party of 11 had a wonderful time. The bar and restaurant were spotless, the service was quick, and the servers were attentive and accommodating. We all left feeling happy and satisfied, with our hearts full of love and our bellies full of delicious food. Thank you so much for making this a beautiful and memorable dinner to celebrate this significant milestone in our lives.

Sofi’s Mediterranean is a hidden gem for anyone craving authentic and flavorful Mediterranean cuisine. From the moment you step inside, the warm and inviting atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The decor is a blend of rustic charm and modern elegance, setting the perfect mood for a relaxed dining experience.

The menu offers a fantastic selection of classic Mediterranean/Italian dishes, from fresh seafood and warm appetizers to perfectly grilled lamb and seafood. The pasta is a must-try and the lamb chops were cooked to perfection—juicy, tender, and full of rich spices. The grilled branzino was also a standout, with a crispy exterior and flaky, flavorful interior.

Service was attentive and friendly, with staff eager to offer recommendations and accommodate dietary preferences. The portions were generous, and the flavors felt both authentic and well-balanced. To finish off the meal, the crème brûlée cheesecake and tiramisu was the perfect sweet treat.

Overall, Sofi’s Mediterranean is a fantastic spot for a casual meal with friends or a cozy date night. Whether you're a fan of Mediterranean/Italian cuisine or new to it, this restaurant delivers fresh, delicious dishes that transport you straight to the...

We went to Sofi’s for dinner Saturday night; and because we know they are still a new-ish establishment, we are really hoping they can get a few kinks worked out and become a successful restaurant in San Marco.

The restaurant is really pretty inside. We definitely liked the vibe and all of the staff is super sweet, however at a restaurant charging these prices the servers need to be more conscientious. For example, we should not have to hand you our used app plates so that you can place my entree plate in front of me. Nor should we have to sign the credit card slip while our table still has the finished entree plates.

That being said, I had the Mediterranean Branzino and it was fantastic. My husband had the mussels pasta and found it to be too spicy. We started with the clams casino which were good but not great for the price.

Our waitress mentioned things are still being worked on, and we really hope that these little details (that become big details over the course of the meal) can be ironed out; because we really hope to return soon and enjoy the experience more so that Sofi’s becomes a “go to” restaurant for us. Definitely give it a shot…as I said,...

We arrived more than two hours before closing on a Saturday night to find the place completely dead. Not a single other table the entire time. That probably should’ve been our first clue.

For the price, nothing we had was remotely worth it.

The truffle fries were passable—and somehow the best thing we ate at this so-called Italian restaurant. My wife ordered a salad for dinner. It’s a salad, sure, but the dressing tasted like something from a pizza joint.

Now, the pasta. The Chicken Francese was flat-out bad. The noodles were so overcooked they could’ve come from a can of Campbell’s. The “signature” wine-lemon sauce was mouth-puckeringly astringent and clung to my tongue like glue. Even the wine we ordered couldn’t cut through it. The chicken? Technically cooked, completely flavorless.

This is the kind of meal that makes you wonder why you even bother going out for Italian food. We could’ve thrown something together at home and had a better night—and saved a lot of money doing it.

The only bright spot was our server. She was kind, attentive, and clearly doing her best. None of this was her fault—she was the only part of the experience that...
