SuraTini — Restaurant in Jacksonville

I had been wanting to check this place out since it opened. Loved the cozy garden/patio dining area. Loved the delicious tapas, very flavorful +beautiful presentation. The cocktails were also beautiful and well crafted. The service though.. there appeared to be one waitress and one bartender on a Saturday night which wasn’t enough. I understand everyone is struggling to find employees these days so I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt with wait times and hoping they just couldn’t help it. The waitress was not attentive in the least though. She had no insight or opinions about any food or drink on the menu, it was clear she didn’t really know about any of it. She was oddly attentive to the table next to ours and had to walk past our empty water glasses multiple times bringing them drink samples..?! We finally went and found our own water carafe. When the food arrived one item was missing and we had no plates or silverware/chopsticks. We inquired about both but after waiting a while I went and found plates and silverware as well. To be clear, she walked by our table multiple times just to chat with the twosome next to us, while we sat looking at our food with no utensils - really not excusable. We decided to go elsewhere after finishing 3 out of 4 tapas ordered, but inquired again about the missing menu item before getting our check. Since she didn’t write anything down she seemed confused (even though she had agreed to bring it out 30 minutes earlier..?) so we said forget it, can we get the check. Two minutes after the check was brought, the missing dish was also delivered.. no apologies for any of it and yes we were charged for all of it. We paid (still tipped) and Ieft just kind of shocked. Such a great spot ruined by...

Such an amazing place! SuraTini exceeded my expectations!! I could go on and on, but let me try to sum it up:

Every single part of the experience was wonderful. The patio and inside have such a fun atmosphere- modern Thai twist on a swanky cocktail bar. I loved all the detail and thought put into the design of the space.

The cocktails are fantastic. Every little detail of the drinks were so masterfully crafted. Perfectly balanced, house made syrups, even the small details like thoughtful garnishes and stamped cocktail ice. These are phenomenally crafted cocktails.

Usually I’m happy to get a good cocktail and don’t expect much else, but SuraTini doesn’t just do amazing cocktails, they also have amazing food. It’s a small plates menu, but we found that 3-4 items was the perfect amount to call dinner. Every single item was packed full of flavor and so delicious.

We were in town for 3 nights and luckily ate here on night 1. It was so good, we also ate here nights 2 and 3. Every time was just as good. We ended up trying everything from the food menu and the majority of the drinks. You seriously can’t go wrong with any of it. Courtney, the owner, was making cocktails and had fantastic recommendations, so if unsure of what to choose, I’d recommend asking her.

This place is seriously amazing. The passion Courtney has for the craft is extraordinary. Every detail is so well thought out and meticulously crafted. I could go on and on, but I’ll end by saying...

People! SuraTini is Jville's hidden gem! If you haven't been here then you're missing out. You are transported to a very beautiful experience that includes unique and delicious food options, one-of-a-kind cocktails, and a vibe that lets you relax and unwind. Courtney's heavenliy elixirs will have you coming back for more! The attention to detail in their presentation of food & drink, and the overall cozy setting is amazing. It's evident that they are passionate and care deeply about their craft. This place is just what Jacksonville needed!
