My wife and I were so excited to hear that there was an authentic Mediterranean place that opened up in the valley. Our desire to have some good Mediterranean was met!
My wife got the chicken shish kebab and I got the lamb shish kebab. They had a Baba ghanoush special for the night which was so good! The quality of the food was superb, well-seasoned. Definitely on the pricier end keep in mind. The chicken shish kebab was $26 which we felt that is a little pricey for chicken entree but while it's not a huge portion, it is a fair portion and excellent quality. Also, one last negative was that the menu size was on the smaller end despite having a few specials. The wraps are only available for lunch for some reason which cut down a fair part of the menu. This would also be the first Mediterranean place that we've visited that didn't serve any Shwarma.
Service was great. Only waitress for the whole place but she checked on us a fair number of times, offered the guests a spicy sauce which btw was super good. Had a kind gentleman come by and check on us, perhaps manager or cook or owner. It is a small little place with maybe 8 or 10 tables, so I would make reservations especially for a weekend. Due to primarily the price, we won't be visiting often but 100% paying back a visit when we are really craving Mediterranean again because the quality and service is definitely there.
If Google allowed, we would give this somewhere between a 8 and a 9 of 10 review but because of how new this place is, we are hoping they may be able to drive down the price a little and expand...
Read moreI first tried Al’s Mediterranean food truck at an Arco gas station in Grants Pass, Oregon. I was super skeptical at first but I had come to love the food! Two years later I came back excited to give him a visit and was disappointed the truck was no longer there. Fast forward to 2023 I knew I had to find this guy! I was so happy he still had his truck and hopefully moved to his permanent location here in Medford. People might think there is competition but in reality, there isn’t all the other food trucks/pods offer different cuisines... I know he uses the concept meat of the day but I wish Al offered 2 kinds of meat such as chicken and beef or beef/lamb and chicken, chicken and pork… you can see where I am going with this. The chicken he made last time was so juicy and delicious. This time the lamb/beef combo was ok but very flavorful! After looking at the menu I realized he uses only 1 meat and makes them 6 ways; pita bread, French Roll, tortilla, on a bed of rice, another on a bed of rice but served with pitas and on a salad. I have to say this makes one’s life easier but it also perfects his craft. His food is solid and absolutely delicious! If you’re hungry get the plate! Also his hummus and carrot bomb is...
Read moreI had my first sandwich a few weeks ago, forgot my bank card and the owner said, HIT ME BACK LATER!!!!!!!!!!! I was shocked, I did dig through my truck and find ones to pay for it but for him to say that still has me shocked.... Now the food, It was my first time there and I dreamt about that sandwich all night until I got two the next day... I literally have gone about 4-5 times a week since getting that first sandwich.. Never had such a great sandwich (order gyros) in my life. They have chicken one day then beef the next, If I had to chance anything it would be to have both an option but I know they have limited space, just my thoughts on the only possible way to make it better. The lady who takes orders is one of the sweetest people I Have ever met. Does take 15+ mins to get your food but call ahead like I do, even if u dont it's worth the wait! Eating there has ruined my whole life now all i want is more, some days I'm like no dont go today there gonna think ur a weirdo going everyday haha... - Danny,...
