I have eaten here twice and gotten food poisoning both times. Tried it when we first moved here 7 years ago and swore never again…but a couple years ago they proudly proclaimed “under new ownership”. I was invited by friends today and figured I’d try again. On my way out I saw the previous owner working there. When I saw them I knew I was in for a long night of running for the bathroom and that’s exactly what happened. They remodeled and did a nice job- it looks great and the back deck is still very cool, but clearly the food handling practices haven’t changed. The chicken used genuinely appears and tastes like it is from a can. Given how sick I’ve gotten both times, perhaps an expired can? We are originally from Los Angeles and I can tell you with some authority that, even aside from causing illness, this is not good Mexican food. I’ve noticed several of these reviews are from tourists and if you are visiting there are several other dining options in town that are delicious and have never made me sick. All the locals I know describe La Fiesta with a shrug as “it’s fine”….no one local that I know has ever said to a visitor “you HAVE to try La Fiesta! It’s amazing!”…so, do with that information what you will and I wish you better gastrointestinal luck than I have had with this place. Service was slow and servers were cold and inattentive on both my...
Read moreAbsolutely the worst "mexican" restaurant ever. Let's start with the "service." We were the first table seated at opening yet it took 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Our waitress whom never introduced herself; a dark haired girl with tattoos on her arms was cold and rude. The entire time she had a look on her face as if she hates her job. We ordered a taco plate and quesadilla plate which again took 45 minutes. When we asked our waitress "how much longer" she rudely responded with "your food is in the window now!". It still took another 10 minutes after the "food was in the window." The taco plate was literally the crispy taco shells you buy in the grocery store with greasy chicken and cold rice and canned refried beans. The quesadilla was burned and totally Saturated with grease and cold, gummy cheese. The entire time we ate, our waitress never once checked on us. The only saving grace was the the two young busboys that were very attentive and helpful. Usually we can forgive a restaurant with bad food when the servers try and are nice. But this place needs a lot of help. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. This is no where near mexican food nor is it a well...
Read moreWorse experience i ever had at a sit down resturant, not only did the server not come around to check on our party but everything on the order was wrong and being a mexican authentic resturant they have no idea how to prepare real mexican food. I asked about pozole and the server was quick to say its not bad but not the greatest, i then ordered a margarita and i got a totally different drink. I settled for a shrimp cocktail and i had the option cold or hot and of course if you know anything about a mexican coctel it is served cold and thats exactly what i asked for but i was still served a boiling plate for some reason. I patiently waited for the server to come around and he was too bust counting his tip money and decided to come around about 20 minutes later. The sad part is we were the only party there so i Dont understand why he could not deal with getting one order right. Too bad i Cant give them 0 stars....no menudo on the menu either 👎....i highly recommend los arcos in medford for REAL MEXICAN AUTHENTIC FAMILY...
