The waitress was very rude for whatever reason. She was very snippy and shortcoming. I asked her if I could have plastic spoons and forks, not realizing that this is an "eco-friendly" restaurant (as you can see from the wooden straws in our drinks), and she replied "We don't do that here. That's why we have silvers on the table". She was very aggregate that I asked a question. The man next to me ask for some ketchup and she politely told him yes, that she'll be right out with it. But when I asked if I could have some ketchup too, she snapped and replied, "You're all getting ketchup. Everyone at this table is already getting ketchup." So I said thank you and told her to have a nice day. I ordered dessert and she never brought it out to me. It was After she collected all the bills, when my Group was trying to leave that she asked me if I still wanted my dessert. I ordered it, so I would think so. She tried to embarrass me by making it seem that it was my fault I wasn't getting dessert. My party wanted to leave, so I didn't want them to wait on my dessert to come out, so I asked her how long it would take. Again, she Snapped. She said something along the lines of "It's a premade dessert that we have to handmake. We have to Make it right then and there". Which didn't make any sense. I could tell she was getting an attitude AGAIN so I told her Nevermind on the dessert. When she walked away the people at my table told me she was unprofessional and just trying to make me feel bad. She also brought out a drink that had lipstick all over it to someone on the table who complained about it, and she apologized to him. The whole night was a nightmare under this waitress. The food wasn't much better. I ordered "The best Fish sandwich" and...it wasn't the best. My fries were stiff and burnt like preheated food at Burger King. Which is weird considering we waited 30 to 45 minutes for our food to come out. I should have went to a fast food restaurant instead of this "fancy restaurant" that charged me 17 dollars for fish burger and burnt fries, and salad I couldn't eat because the waitress refuse to offer alternatives to the silver spoons on the table. It's funny because you can see in the picture that the person sitting next to me has fries perfectly made. Mine just happens to be burnt and crusty. Great customer service (sarcasm). I would Not recommend this place. Definitely not...
Read moreI love Ted’s. When I’m in the mood for a gourmet burger, this is my go-to. Here, they serve Bison (buffalo) burgers & steaks in an array of cuts. Personally, I recommend the burgers over the steaks. My favorite is the Bison-Avalon Burger, hold the garlic aioli, add grilled jalapeños w/ Asparagus or Fries…Perfection! (It has Gruyère & Blue cheese) There is something about a Bison burger that beats its competing beef counterpart. In comparison, Bison has an irresistible, smooth, buttery flavor. If you haven’t had a Bison burger, you need to try one, ASAP and in my opinion Ted’s has the BEST Bison burgers. Additionally they have a nice selection of other entrees and sides, including mashed potatoes, fries (I believe are hand cut because they are delish) to Roasted Broccoli Asparagus, & more! Service is typically good, though it’s had its not-so-good moments, which why I’m deducting 1 star. That being said, the food has always been fantastic. One of my favorite parts is, instead of serving bread as an appetizer, they serve half-sours. Half sours are cucumbers that are partially pickled. They are my favorite because they still retain their cucumber flavor and snap but have a hint of dill. They offer a full bar with a range of beer, liquor and wine. Overall, the price isn’t too bad either. A bison burger with 1 side is approx $19.99 (usually $3-$4 less for beef) and is on-par (and in some cases less expensive than) Olive Garden, Outback, Redlobster, Texas Roadhouse, LongHorn. With a non-alcoholic beverage, you’re looking at approx $24-$40 per person before tax, depending on...
Read moreIf the flavor of the steak wasn't so darn delicious, I would rate it less than 4 stars. So to start with the steak, I ordered medium rare with mushrooms, broccoli and mashed pots. When I first tasted sides and mushrooms, they were cold. I cut an outside edge piece off of steak and thought how delicious it was. When I cut into the middle, it was raw, not just a little, but red almost all the way to the outside of it. I also informed our waitress that some of the other food was cold as well, but my son and daughter had pretty much eaten theirs already, so it didn't matter by then. Husband was just hungry, so he didn't want to send it back. I did send my steak back. When I received the steak and sides back, my broccoli was burned on the tips from being put back under and the steak was then overdone. Not sure if reheating the same steak was the greatest option for the chef. It made the outer edges well done and the inside med-well, which again is not how I eat my steaks usually. For a $30 steak, you expect for it to be done the way you like it. I do have to say this, I will be back to give that steak another chance, because the flavor was outstanding! Waitress said manager was coming to take care of us, never came. I did not send the steak back the second time because I was tired, ready to eat, and go home. The burger was really good too...even though it was a little under temp. Fries are yummy. It was really empty, so I am not sure why it took so long for waitress to come back to us, or to have...
